01 Chief of Staff To US Defense Secretary Stepping Down
(Fall Girl For Announcing His Absence From The Job A Short While Ago?)
Chief of staff to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will announce Wednesday that she is stepping down, according to a senior administration official and a person familiar with her plans.
Kelly Magsamen was one of the very few people informed that Austin was in the hospital on New Year's Day, but she did not inform the White House or senior Pentagon staff.
The Pentagon press secretary later blamed the oversight in part on Kelly also being sick. She was the one who eventually called the White House to inform officials that Austin was in the intensive care unit at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
In a statement, Austin praised Magsamen, who was seen as one of his closest advisers. but did not offer an explanation for why she was stepping down.

07 Disgraced mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has sold his majority stake in his media company Revolt amid mounting sexual assault lawsuits and a federal sex-trafficking probe.
The 54-year-old rapper 'temporarily' stepped down as Revolt chairman in November 2023 but in March it was claimed by TMZ that Diddy had sold his shares to a mystery buyer for an undisclosed fee.
Revolt CEO Detavio Samuels confirmed to The New York Times on Tuesday that 'one hundred percent of Sean Combs' shares have been redeemed and retired.
'He is no longer chairman. He is no longer on the board. He has no shares, no equity in Revolt. We have completely separated and dissociated from each other.'
Samuels also divulged that the hip-hop star had 'agreed to start the process of separation' back in January as his legal woes worsened.

US BANKS $517 TRILLION UNREALZED LOSSES
Unrealized losses in the US banking system are once again on the rise, according to new numbers from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
In its Quarterly Banking Profile report, the FDIC says banks are now saddled with more than half a trillion dollars in paper losses on their balance sheets, due largely to exposure to the residential real estate market.
Unrealized losses represent the difference between the price banks paid for securities and the current market value of those assets.

Disgraced mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has sold his majority stake in his media company Revolt amid mounting sexual assault lawsuits and a federal sex-trafficking probe.
The 54-year-old rapper 'temporarily' stepped down as Revolt chairman in November 2023 but in March it was claimed by TMZ that Diddy had sold his shares to a mystery buyer for an undisclosed fee.
Revolt CEO Detavio Samuels confirmed to The New York Times on Tuesday that 'one hundred percent of Sean Combs' shares have been redeemed and retired.
'He is no longer chairman. He is no longer on the board. He has no shares, no equity in Revolt. We have completely separated and dissociated from each other.'
Samuels also divulged that the hip-hop star had 'agreed to start the process of separation' back in January as his legal woes worsened.

2 Judges Appointed by Trump: Hunter Biden Cases - They Have A Lot In Common

2 federal judges will preside over the criminal trials — Maryellen Noreika of Wilmington, Delaware, & Mark Scarsi. LA — have a lot in common. Both are former President Donald Trump appointees who got the nods of their home senators in blue states. Both have overseen few trials in their short time on the bench — and based on their limited records, they appear to be tough sentencers.
Both specialized in patent law. Both share a technical eye for detail and, as young lawyers, chose a relatively apolitical area of the law.
They will each be supervising the most politically charged case of their career. Noreika is presiding over Biden illegally bought a gun as a drug user. In LA, Judge Mark Scarsi will preside where Biden is accused of failing to pay his taxes between 2016 and 2019. Tax case recently postponed until Sept. 5.
