| 19 | GS II Mains 2026 : Note 3 - 7, Topic : Amendments and Basic Structure
Hello,
While a question on amending powers was asked in 2025, the larger relevance of the topic can't be ignored.
There is a greater chance of a question to be based on Basic Structure than Amendments.
Also, 75 years to the 1st Constitutional Amendment and IXth Schedule, 45 Years to Waman Rao Case, and a recent speech by the CJI on Basic Structure and Democracy put the topics on the map.
While MCN 2.0 -Note 3 - 6 remain the same as last years MCN 6 - 9, MCN 2.0 Note 7 covers NEW analytical questions that can be asked.
