📢 15 March 2026 became a special professional moment for me. I had the opportunity to present my classroom action research at the 2026 conference organized by the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL), together with teachers from different countries. For an introverted person like me, speaking in front of a global audience took a lot of courage, but it was also a very rewarding experience. 🤩😇🤓 My research was conducted with Grade 6 students and started with a simple question: Why do my students make the same writing mistakes again and again? Doing classroom action research showed that research doesn’t always start in universities. Sometimes it starts with a teacher asking questions in their own classroom. These are photos from my TEA program experience at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. Here we are playing the Leadership Game. At first, it was confusing as we didn't understand the rules. But once everything became clear, the game turned into something incredibly engaging. We discussed, worked out solutions to problems, learned things such as strategy, negotiating, teamwork. We were so focused that we didn't realize we were learning at all. It was a good game not because it was “fun,” but because it felt like a real experience. That experience made me think about something important: What actually makes a classroom game good?
