It is with a heavy heart that I share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of Ogeechee Circuit District Attorney Robert Busbee. At just 44 years old, DA Busbee was taken from us far too soon this morning in Bulloch County. A devoted husband to Erika, loving father to their three sons, and a proud Georgia Southern alum who dedicated his career to serving our community—first as a respected local attorney with Busbee Law Group, and most recently as our District Attorney since January. In his short time in office, he brought integrity, energy, and a deep commitment to justice to Bulloch, Effingham, Jenkins, and Screven counties. His loss leaves a profound void in Southeast Georgia. My thoughts and prayers are with Erika, their boys, and the entire Busbee family during this unimaginable time. May God wrap you in comfort and peace. Rest in peace, DA Busbee. Thank you for your service. You will be deeply missed. 💔

Fulton county has a location in Sandy Springs that was locked down today for several hours and will remain open until 11:02 pm. Fulton County will not tabulate the results until the close of all precincts. In other words, there will be NO RESULTS from FULTON COUNTY until after 11:00 PM.

COBB COUNTY, GA. A Superior Court Judge has signed an order tonight keeping 11 precincts across the county open past the standard 7:00 p.m. closing time, following delays in opening at polling locations earlier today. Judge Kimberly Childs signed the order at the request of the Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration. Any voter in line at one of the precincts below by that precinct’s extended closing time will be allowed to cast their ballot.
