NO BAKE PUMPKIN MARHSMALLOW PIE
For the crust:
2 cups vanilla wafer cookie crumbs (or use graham crackers)
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
For the pie filling:
8 oz block of cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3/4 cup canned pumpkin
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
7 ounce container marshmallow cream
8 oz tub cool whip
Crush cookies or graham crackers, then combine with the melted butter. Place into 8x8 pan (or 9” pie dish) and spread over bottom and sides to make a crust.
Cream together cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and thoroughly combined. Add in pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon, mixing on medium speed until smooth and thoroughly combined. Slowly add in marshmallow cream, mixing thoroughly. Finally, add in the cool whip, mixing until all the filling is thick, smooth and has a light orange tint.
Pour filling into the pan, spread evenly over cookie crust. Allow the pie to chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 to 6 hours or up to overnight.

Fun day! Took the kids on a field trip to learn about Native Americans from our area. Then we stopped by a donut shop for some pumpkin-y donuts. It’s good for the soul to spend quality time with the family, ignoring Leviathan on the Potomac –even if it’s only for a few hours.
Between the donuts and the pie chart posted above, I’ve been thinking about holiday desserts. So I thought I would share a recipe I’ve made before in lieu of pumpkin pie (gasp!) for Thanksgiving. I have no idea how to adapt this for dietary needs. Yes, I’m aware of every negative thing someone may wish to attach to the recipe. Please accept me in spite of my weaknesses 😔😃

Hello Friends,
I’ve had a lot of inspiration to write some posts to share with y’all. However, getting all my thoughts out has been a struggle lately. My brain is like a squirrel on amphetamines and though I’m relatively used to it there are times it exhausts me. I probably need a cookie.
So for those who are creative-y people –which is all of us in some capacity, maybe you can relate 👇🏻

No Two Sunrises Are The Same
I was pondering a comment someone made about how wonderful it is that sunrises are a certainty yet no two sunrises are the same.
There’s something calming and beautiful about the Lord. He’s reliable –will always come through, but He never does so the same way twice. Maybe this is why some folks don’t have a meaningful relationship with Him. They believe He’s always the same; that is, will always respond the same way. Although there is a consistency we can trust with Him, He is so much deeper than the shallow identity so many give Him.
He knows every detail about us, He knows how we will respond to any given thing and He knows how we require consistency in our lives. And still He enjoys surprising us. Maybe we need to be roused from our view that He is selfsame and obvious, and start living a life anticipating His surprises.

Hello Awesome Patriots! Hope y’all had a productive and delightful weekend 🙂
I’m wondering if anyone has a good source that delves into the history and comparisons of the Hebrew calendar, Roman calendar, Julian calendar, Gregorian calendar and Liturgical calendar and how it effects us today. Thank you in advance!

I just want to encourage those of you who are prepping: don’t panic, do what you can, when you can. Put your efforts into having enough supplies to get you through two weeks in case you couldn’t access sources, then build upon that. Don’t worry about planning for every emergency. Even a veteran prepper cannot plan for every contingency. The two most likely critical scenarios one faces is job loss and inclement weather.
Make those lists (what you need and what you have) and steadily work through it. Water and food are top priorities. Even if you only have a two week supply, you are still ahead of the curve! You got this, Patriot 👍🏻
Step away from social media this weekend. Find something enjoyable to do. And love the one you’re with…
I’m praying for all of you. God bless.
