Good News October 8th, 2021 – October 15th, 2021 edition. As you scroll through the highlights, ask yourself if the Deep State were in charge, would this be allowed? Or would we even know about it? Also some news may not seem “good,” but it’s on the list because it is utterly fantastic it’s being exposed! • A three-year-old who went missing in Texas was found alive 3 days later, five miles from his home, according to the Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell who told reporters, "Many had given up hope. What can be said or written about a man who has had immeasurable words penned about him? Can we learn anything new? When considering the character of an individual, we need to apply what we learned in preschool: look for patterns. What adjectives would you attribute to your subject? Are those descriptions consistent or sometimes? What qualities would you allot your subject? Are these the same qualities they had as a child? A young adult? Have they matured, improved? What and who does your subject value? Does it match your values? God’s? Who surrounds your subject? Do they share the same values as your subject? [Read Jesus’s wise words in Luke 16:1-14] Those with common tendencies, interests, ambitions and tastes associate with one another. The polished can be counterfeit. The plucky can be gallant. People who are liars, people who have something to hide always tip their hand. They have a tell that indicates they’re untrustworthy. People who are genuine, are consistently reliable, authentic, sincere, natural, pleasant, honest. Prayerfully consider: Who is Trump to you?

Unfortunately, many allow the appearance or personality of an individual to cloud their judgement of a person’s character. Does the way someone speaks, their tone, the offhanded comments, or the use of wily or coarse words truly reflect their character? Can a suave man have a duplicitous, forked tongue or an unpretentious man have a genial, gracious tongue? When surrounded by deception, how do you recognize the beguiling pull of a foe? Or find the whispered message of a friend? When searching for the truth, sometimes you need to seek the opposite in order to prove your supposition. This will have you crawling through the narcissistic twaddle, the indolent hacks and the narrow-minded platitudes. And when your subject matter is a magnet for the insipid media, you find yourself relishing the chance to prove them wrong. Some believe there is a dark alliance between Trump and The Cabal. His critics claim that a Deep State conspiracy theory has been fabricated by Trump. On the contrary; this is a theory that preceded a Trump presidency. Some of his detractors twist and piecemeal bible verses, painting Trump as a shadowy, sinister leader from the underworld. This is the tactic of a dishonest fool. These deceivers face a conundrum because they are incapable of reconciling their own prejudicial conjectures against truthful evidences. So with false bravado they call Trump a charlatan, while pretending to be victimized by his malice. They cannot have it both ways: either Trump is a dullard unable to concoct anything clever; or he’s a genius masterminding the greatest feat of all time.

Donald Trump is one of those rare human beings who did not need the advent of a civics career to propel him into the limelight. By the time he publicly stepped onto the political stage, he already had a recognizable name, and fair or not, labels already attached to him. I suspect there are very few who had an understanding that he was destined for the Presidency. How many of us could imagine this straight-talking, brash billionaire swaggering into a very partisan democratic arena when he was guest appearing on TV sitcoms and in movies? When Trump hinted at running for POTUS, I told my husband that he would never run unless he knew he could win, because we all know there was no way Trump would ever be on the losing end of a deal. Little did we know then exactly what gave Trump that confidence he would win the bid for the presidency. Probably like you, I don’t have any definitive proof of Trump being an authentic Christ-follower. There are indications that he is a believer, however there are also things that’s he said or done that allows doubts to linger. I think most of us can agree that our past shouldn’t necessarily be held against us. How many of us did foolish things in our youth? How many of us have stories of Christ’s redemption? When looking at Trump I don’t think his past is the totality of who he is now. So what is it about this bold man that makes folks sit up and take him seriously or makes folks dismiss him? Compared to the overly groomed politician… Trump’s mannerisms are different. His gestures big and flashy, his dance moves tiny and adorningly awkward. His family is different. They ooze opulence yet they aren’t standoffish. His speeches are different. Grand words that sweep across an engaged crowd or seep through the television, injecting hope. Sometimes he speaks sardonically. Trump appears to be a walking contradiction. He’s wealthy, yet assessable. He’s incredibly smart, yet speaks with a common tongue. He surrounds himself in opulence yet consumes the food most of us do. No doubt about it though: there is something about this man that makes you want to fight: for him or against him.

Is Trump A Good Guy? I wanted to provide readers with an unbiased report to the question, “Is Trump a Good Guy?” I thought this would be a straightforward task, assuming the road would be twisty, but be relatively uncomplicated to traverse. In all my endeavors to dig deeper into a topic, I have never encountered one as convoluted as Trump’s. Honestly, I wouldn’t know who to point the finger at for all the complexity, absurdity and mystery surrounding Trump. His puzzle pieces don’t exactly fit perfectly together, but that doesn’t mean we cannot get some clues about him. So rather than present to you all the rabbit holes I fell down or all the bizarre conspiracy theories connected to him, I will take a different approach.

Looks like Trump is reminding us of what needs to happen 🤔 https://t.me/ThinMint2/4731
