The Complete Last Supper | The Chosen "In honor of what took place on this night over 2,000 years ago, we give you our portrayal of the Last Supper. Pulled from all eight of our Season Five episodes, here in continuous, chronological order." Link to video is here.

One of the things I love about The Passion of The Christ is that the visual presentation helped make the life and death of Christ more understandable, tangible, and applicable in ways that never happened before. When I've watched it after having children... It became even more impactful. The movie isn't about Mel Gibson or Jim Caviezel; it isn't about any of the controversy surrounding the film or those who brought it to life. The Holy Spirit speaks to me when I watch it, opening my eyes to knowing my LORD and Savior better. He knows what I need. So it is with this video clip from The Chosen. It's not about the actors or production. It's not about other people's opinions. It's a visual presentation of what Jesus went through. The Holy Spirits know what I need. And I needed to be in that upper room, silently watching what was most likely how the last supper took place. So I am sharing it with you -anyone who wants to see those profound and precious moments. And for anyone who is sincerely asking the Holy Spirit, "LORD, what would you have me know?" during this Resurrection weekend.

It’s Friday. Jesus is praying. Peter’s sleeping. Judas is betraying. But Sunday’s comin’! It’s Friday. Pilate’s struggling. The council is conspiring. The crowd is vilifying. They don’t even know That Sunday’s comin’! It’s Friday. The disciples are running like sheep without a shepherd. Mary’s crying. Peter is denying. But they don’t know That Sunday’s a comin’! It’s Friday. The Romans beat my Jesus. They robe Him in scarlet. They crown Him with thorns. But they don’t know That Sunday’s comin’! It’s Friday. See Jesus walking to Calvary. His blood dripping. His body stumbling. And His spirit’s burdened. But you see, it’s only Friday. Sunday’s comin’! It’s Friday. The world’s winning. People are sinning. And evil’s grinning. It’s Friday. The soldiers nail my Savior’s hands to the cross. They nail my Savior’s feet to the cross. And then they raise Him up next to criminals. It’s Friday. But let me tell you something, Sunday’s comin’! It’s Friday. The disciples are questioning. What has happened to their King? And the Pharisees are celebrating that their scheming has been achieved. But they don’t know, It’s only Friday. Sunday’s comin’! It’s Friday. He’s hanging on the cross. Feeling forsaken by His Father. Left alone and dying. Can nobody save Him?. Ooooh! It’s Friday. But Sunday’s comin’! It’s Friday. The earth trembles. The sky grows dark. My King yields His spirit. It’s Friday. Hope is lost. Death has won. Sin has conquered. And Satan’s just a laughin’. It’s Friday. Jesus is buried. A soldier stands guard. And a rock is rolled into place. But it’s Friday. It is only Friday. Sunday is a comin’!

"It’s Friday, But Sunday’s Coming" by Pastor Lockridge. SM Lockridge (March 7, 1913 – April 4, 2000) was the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in San Diego from 1953 to 1993. Thank you @PatA for sharing with us.

I first came across Erin when my twins were elementary aged. (For those who are not aware, I homeschool all four of our kids. The twins are graduating next month. And that is an emotional post waiting to be written *stage whispers sigh*) Though preschool days are behind us, I opt to still receive her email updates as I find her authenticity refreshing. This is what she wrote for Good Friday, In lieu of our usual good news sharing today, I am posting her commentary.

Happy birthday to all the April babies!
