5) The Resurrection of Believers "Our hope of the resurrection cannot be fulfilled, as I think, before the coming of Christ; and therefore, all our prayers long for the ending of this age and the end of the world, at the great day of the Lord...". (Tertullian, On the Resurrection of the Flesh 22)

"It is sufficient for all righteousness to me to have Him upon my side against whom alone I have offended. Everything which He decreed not to impute unto me is as though it had not been.' Not to sin is the righteousness of God, but the forgiveness of God is the righteousness of man." —St. Bernard of Clairvaux Cant., serm. XXIII, 15.

When to the LORD I lift my voice, In face of those who hate me still, The LORD will hear my cry to him And answer from His holy hill. I settle down and sleep in peace; I wake in God's upholding hand I will not fear 10,000 foes Who circling round against me stand. Psalm 3:4-6

And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders; And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth. Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, then we shall die. For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived? Deuteronomy 5:23-26, KJV

Who Wrote the Gospels?: The Case for Matthew, Mark, Luke and John

Virtually everything that we can know about Jesus comes from the four Gospels contained in the New Testament. The Gospels are, by far, our earliest and best historical sources regarding the life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus. Since the Gospels are so central to our understanding of Jesus, it is important that we know where this information is coming from. It is important that we know who authored the Gospels, that the authors were well placed to know they were talking about, and that what they report is true. But who exactly wrote the Gospels? Were they in a good position to know what they were talking about? And are their accounts trustworthy? Sources: Jesus Before the Gospels - Bart. D. Ehrman The Case for Jesus - Brant Pitre “The Alleged Anonymity of the Canonical Gospels” JTS 69 (2018) - Simon Gathercole Who Wrote the Gospels? - Randel McGraw Helms Tax Collector to Gospel Writer - Michael J. Do not lurk like a thief near the house of the righteous, do not plunder their dwelling place; for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes. Proverbs 24:15-16

“The nonbaptized are of two kinds: Some are altogether alien to the Christian religion and outside the church; but some, even though they have not received the Sacrament of Baptism, yet with inner and true faith kindled in their hearts by the Holy Spirit through the preaching of the Gospel, have the gift [of faith], like the thief on the cross, catechumens, martyrs carried away to death before receiving Baptism, and infants of Christians presented to Christ by the prayer of the church and of [their] parents—these [people], themselves not baptized, are living and true members of the church.” –Johannes Quenstedt, Theologia Didactico-Polemica, pt IV, ch. XV, s. II, q. I
