Some of the recipes in the book (like Toby's Triple Chocolate) deserve some praise from the big man himself if you make them. All of the writing in the book is from Sebastien's perspective, and it's a lot of fun to write in his voice since he's so gregarious and warm.

Mama nook and I spent the day making Jo's cupcakes - peach ricotta cakes with strawberry icing, and a butterflied strawberry drizzled with balsamic reduction. My mom and I aren't great bakers, but these were amazing. Can confirm that the book's chef (wuskythehusky) knows what he's doing, if he can make a recipe even we can follow.

Been working on the cookbook during my flight home and have mostly finished El Diablo's entry (instruction page not shown, I can't give away the farm yet, obviously). The picture of the cupcake is going to drawn over by Soul Nero, so we have a consistent art feel throughout the book that doesn't rely on photography. Isn't Sebastien cute when he's giving you baking tips?

Hi everyone! I have a bunch of busy work (and packing for a trip home for the summer) today, so I'm glued to the computer for a bit. I thought I'd offer up an AMA - if you want to ask anything about the series, things in production, or me, I guess, now's your time to toss it up here, and I'll answer as many as I can.

Jo's inspired cupcake recipe was also completed too, and lordy you are you guys not ready for how good this one supposedly is (I know I'm not). Wusky said that he didn't usually toot his own horn about his baking and his original recipes, but this one he absolutely is. Peach ricotta cupcake base with strawberry frosting, lemon zest, and a butterflied strawberry with balsalmic vinegar glaze... I want one now...

More lovely work coming in on the cookbook from Soul Nero! We're messing around now with completing a few more assets to do a full recipe mockup page, while we're also completing these "character bio" images. This is where Sebastien introduces the character and how he knows them, and how they're important to him, and the following page will be a cupcake recipe inspired for them. For Nico, of course, this is El Diablo.

Hey everyone! I'm happy to share some concept artwork for the children's book ("In Orbit"). These are from Flint/Mousenoises, who's once again our character artist and art director for the book. The story is about Toby and his friend Zach, during their childhood, and it's set in space. Yes, you read that right, in space. I shall say nothing more of that for now, that would be spoilers. Zach's parents are the mouse couple; Flint went nuts as a rodent connoisseur and pulled out color variations and hair types to design them (I love them). The other uniforms are space station staff. Once again, I love the species choice. Will we be the first children's book to actively feature binturongs? Someone get Australia on the horn. We'll have more to share once we get some more style tests and layouts tested out. The children's book is free form in structure - we're not making a comic, so the removal of paneling means we have a ton of creative freedom. I'm super excited about this production and hopefully you guys are too. I'm extremely happy with the script for it and test readers have unanimously loved it, so I'm confident we're making something special.
