The UAE built luxury with oil and foreign labor but outsiders own it. Now Ethiopia, without oil wealth, is copying the same model using minerals and borrowed money. Are we selling our future for appearances?
Modernization is good ማን ይጠላል፣ but not at the cost of sovereignty, substance, and soul.
First, Las Vegas normalized adultery and prostitution.
Then Dubai followed once the most conservative Islamic state, now turned into a city of sin operating 24/7. Rules were relaxed not for locals, but for Westerners.
Even our Instagram models are part of it. It's heartbreaking selling your body for money. If this is happening now, what will our children grow up to believe is normal?
