REMINDER: APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF STUDY PERIOD With reference to the above matter. 1. According to Section 9 and 10, Universiti Putra Malaysia (Graduate Studies) Rules 2003 (Revision 2015-2016), the maximum duration of study of Doctoral Degree Programme is five (5) years (10 semesters) while for Master Degree Programme is three (3) years (6 semesters). A student who does not complete his/her study within the stipulated time will be terminated. However, he/she may apply for an extension to the Dean of SGS upon recommendation from his Supervisory Committee. 2. In this regard, please be reminded that if you are currently stipulated at the maximum period of your study, additional time to complete your study is required. Please complete and submit the Extension of Study Period Form (GS-13c) online through your student portal. Note: Please apply before 8 June 2026.
