Nepal Authorities Block Telegram Due to Rise in Fraud The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) ordered the immediate blocking of the Telegram messenger within the country. What is happening: • An official notification of the block was immediately sent to all telecom operators. • The block took effect immediately by order of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Communications, and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Nepal. • The decision was made after consultations with the police and the country's financial institutions.
