Sometimes, I get surprised with the data like- 1- South Korean market has gone up by 72% in this calendar year despite FPIs sold stocks worth $126 billion. 2- Taiwan market has gone up by 64% despite FPIs sold stocks worth $37 billion. 3- Whereas Indian market, FPIs sold shares worth $27 billion but market has also gone down by 18%. South Korean market is up by 72% despite FPIs huge selling, had anyone told you in the beginning of the year that FPIs would sell heavily, you would have not imagined that market would go by 72%. Sometime, data surprises big time.

Why would any FII invest in india? Let's say fii brings 1000 dollars when dollar to rs was 90 So he invests 90000 Let's say nifty gives 10 percent So now he has 99000rs He books 9000 Bloodsucking Govt takes 12.5 or 20 percent. So he is left with 7875 if it's after a year. Now dollar reaches 96. So he changes 97875 to dollar He gets 1019 That is return of 1.9 percent If there are brokerages, transaction charges , dollar rs conversion charges. Then poor FII is in loss even if nifty gives 10 percent. So tell why will FII invest in india?
