TASK TWO SAMPLE OPINION ESSAY Every child ought to study a foreign language in school, beginning in the earliest grades. In my view, I agree with this idea that learning a foreign language at a young age at school is of great importance in terms of both having an ability to speak and making the most of the information on the internet. There are several reasons why school children must study a foreign language at school. Firstly, it may be  effortless for pupils to receive new information at their early age as they are bestowed with an agile brain. This helps them to learn new words and grammar rules by heart easily. Secondly, school children have no distraction during the scholastic period and thus they are more likely to concentrate on doing some courses in language learning properly. Finally, they will have a chance to use online data for their homework if they know one foreign language such as English well. Take my nephew as an example, he is learning English meticulously at school for the time being and as a result he understands the language very well and apply some modern methods that he finds online to do his homework. I believe that there may be some barriers for pupils at a young age to learn a foreign language. One difficulty is fear of speaking. That means children are more inclined to be scared of speaking a foreign language as they do not speak their mother tongue very well. Another obstacle is improper teaching methods. Most teachers at school teach difficult grammar rules to pupils and therefore it might demotivate them and make them disinterested in studying a foreign language. For this reason, children should be taught with suitable guidance and techniques to attract children’s attention to the language learning process including playing funny games and watching cartoons in that language. In conclusion, my point is that it is advisable for to learn a foreign language at an early age because of its huge benefits such as being bilingual and aware of the latest foreign news even though they may have some challenges.
