High functioning depression is the silent partner in the world of mental health. You know the type - the individuals who seem to have it all together on the surface, but are struggling to keep up with their own thoughts and emotions behind closed doors. It's like they've mastered the art of putting on a happy face while battling an invisible enemy inside. High functioning depression is characterized by the ability to maintain day-to-day functionality despite experiencing symptoms of depression. These folks can go about their lives, excelling at work or school, maintaining relationships, and even cracking jokes to lighten up a room. But don't be fooled by their apparent happiness; deep down, they're fighting off a never-ending chorus of negative thoughts and emptiness. The irony is that because they're so damn good at hiding their pain, high functioning depressives often fly under the radar without receiving the support they desperately need – until someone notices those telltale signs that are just hard to ignore.

HPD (Histrionic Personality Disorder) is a mental health condition characterized by excessive attention-seeking, flamboyant behavior, and exaggerated emotions. People with HPD tend to crave constant validation and may go to great lengths to gain attention or admiration from others. They often have difficulty maintaining healthy relationships as their behavior can be manipulative and self-centered. These individuals have a strong need for reassurance and struggle with feelings of insecurity. They may exhibit dramatic gestures, dress provocatively, or have exaggerated speech patterns in order to draw attention to themselves. While some may interpret their actions as insincere or superficial, it is important to recognize that those with HPD are genuinely experiencing distress due to an underlying fear of being overlooked or ignored. Treatment for HPD typically involves therapy, specifically cognitive-behavioral therapy which aims at helping individuals identify and modify unhealthy patterns of thinking and behavior.

If you dream about someone, it is much more likely a reflection of your own thoughts and subconscious feelings instead of an indication of how they are feeling or thinking about you.

A melody just keeps replaying over and over inside your mind, but you can’t quite seem to remember which song it is...well I got your back guys!! According to the Zeignark effect Your mind will continue to think of things that are unfinished or incomplete. So Think of the end of the song. Not the beginning, or the middle. The end.

If you are in a group of people, or even just with one other person, and you feel like conflict is about to break out...Eat! People who are eating usually feel comfortable within their environment. Eating is a calming activity, and will likely help to smooth out conflict.

If you have a friend that struggles to open up to you, tell you how they are feeling, or even give you simple information; Ask them a question, and if they respond partially, or it feels like they’re hiding something, simply keep eye contact and remain silent for a few seconds

The Chameleon Effect is when we unconsciously mimic the people around us—their postures, attitudes, and other behaviors. We all have a tendency to do this because of what’s known as the “perception-behavior link,” where in observing a behavior increases the likelihood that we’ll repeat it. https://t.me/psycologically
