1. Near the Windward Islands (AL92):
A tropical wave near the Windward Islands is producing gusty winds and an area of showers and thunderstorms. This system is moving into a region of increasing upper-level winds and drier air, and the potential for tropical cyclone formation has decreased. Even though development is highly unlikely, strong gusty winds to near gale force and areas of heavy rain are possible across portions of the Lesser Antilles today.

2. Central Tropical Atlantic (AL94):
A tropical wave over the Central Tropical Atlantic, located more
than 1000 miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands, continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Some slow development of this system could occur during the next couple of days. After that time, the system is expected to encounter strong upper-level winds, decreasing its chances for development.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of America:
1. Central Tropical Atlantic (AL92):
Showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave located
about 650 miles east of the Lesser Antilles have continued to become
less organized. This system is moving into a region of increasing
upper-level winds and dry air, and the possibility of development is
decreasing. Regardless of development, interests in the Lesser
Antilles should continue to monitor the progress of this system
since gusty winds and areas of heavy rain are possible across these
islands Friday night and Saturday.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...low...30 percent.
2. Eastern Tropical Atlantic (AL94):
A tropical wave located several hundred miles southwest of the Cabo
Verde Islands is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
Environmental conditions are forecast to be generally conducive for
gradual development, and a tropical depression could form late this
week or this weekend while the wave moves westward or
west-northwestward across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.

Another batch of Rassvet for Russia
The Russian company BURO 1440 today announced the successful launch of its second batch of satellites into orbit. The spacecraft separated from the launch vehicle and established contact with BURO 1440's Mission Control Center.
After completing checks and commissioning their subsystems, the satellites will begin their transition to their target orbit to provide communications services.
It's truly excellent news that the launch of another group of satellites is proceeding according to plan, and is being implemented as part of the development of a Russian equivalent of the Starlink low-orbit satellite constellation.
While the current number is still insufficient to meet all of Russia's needs, especially for the military, the capabilities will gradually expand. Moreover, the company is already planning to provide satellite communications even to long-distance trains.
Given the numerous problems Russian troops face due to a lack of communications equipment, Rassvet development must be a priority. In the meantime, here's footage of a Rassvet convoy flying over Hawaii. | 145 |

We're 10-15 years away from such technologies. Miniaturization, extreme cheapness compared to the massive military-technical dinosaurs of the 20th century – tanks, artillery, aircraft carriers, etc. And on the flip side – an army of cyborgs, like the Terminator. That's the kind of war we need to prepare for by 2035-2040.
