Crypto Twitter credits a short squeeze for $BTC's run from 81K to 84K. Spot CVD says Bitfinex and Binance buyers drove it. A squeeze lifts price for a few candles. Spot buying carried this one. - Bitfinex Spot CVD led the bounce and set new highs (right chart) - Binance Spot CVD climbed with price into 84K (right chart) - Coinbase Spot CVD barely moved, so the bid came from offshore (right chart) - Spot CVD outpaced Perp CVD all the way up (left chart) - At 84K, spot is selling again: Binance -1.9M, Coinbase -1M, while OKX Perp buys +10M (left chart) Perps buying while spot sells at resistance is weak. An authorized reseller sold a Ledger with a hidden implant inside, and someone's $BTC got drained. Ledger confirmed the implant in a device bought through CryptoBilis, its official partner for Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. $BTC rally to $82,700 was built by spot buyers. Perps are already walking away from it. Overnight, perp CVD dumped while spot CVD kept climbing. Spot absorbed the selling, the 81.9K base held, and the 04:30 breakout came with both lines moving up together. - Spot CVD - fresh high near 10:30, still holding - Perp CVD - lower highs since 07:00, now rolling over - Session delta: spot +61.9K, perps +447.8K Spot is the only thing still holding this up. 82.2K is the level to watch.
