Now the Thwaites Ice Shelf is suspected to follow, which is about the size of London, Delhi or Mexico City (~1500km²). The problem is the rising sea level is eating away on the bigger ice shelfs and glaciers which is why we calling it a tipping point since the others will follow sooner than originally expected. Especially the thwaites glacier is very fragil and so with the ice shelf breaking off the glacier could soon follow which would be be a island the size of Syria, Nebraska or Belarus (~192,000 km²) hitting the sea levels expecting sea levels to rise from optimistic preditions of 60cm to 3m (~2 to 10 ft). To check what that means I recommend floodmap to help yourself visualize it. And to add insult to injury, we also seeing increaingly more rain fall in Antarctica. Sources in the comments
