Nakheel Awards Over 950 Million Dirham For 617 Homes
Nakheel has awarded a main construction contract worth more than 950 million Dirham for Phases 2 and 4 of Bay Grove Residences on Dubai Islands, covering 617 homes. The award follows an earlier contract of more than 800 million Dirham for 537 homes across seven buildings in Phases 1 and 3 of the same project. The article does not name the contractor or give a handover date.
Why it matters: nakheel is building out Bay Grove in stages, giving buyers a clear construction timeline to track.

UAE Capital Markets Value Reaches 3.7 Trillion Dirham
The UAE's Capital Markets Authority said licensed companies rose 43% year on year in the first nine months of 2026, with licensed professionals up 64%. The combined market capitalisation of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and Dubai Financial Market reached 3.7 trillion Dirham by the end of September 2026. Total trading value reached 408 billion Dirham over the same period, with foreign investors accounting for 49% of it. The number of local investment funds rose 94% to 97, with assets under management up 30% to 28.6 billion Dirham.
Why it matters: growing licensed professionals and funds point to deeper, more liquid markets for property-linked investors.

Abu Dhabi Builds 872 Million Dirham Island Link
Abu Dhabi's Department of Municipalities and Transport is building a 872 million Dirham project linking Ramhan and Jubail Islands to the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed motorway. The development, across 166,000 square metres, includes seven bridges and three tunnels, plus ramps, roads and utility corridors, and is expected to be completed in 2027. The project will recycle approximately 90% of construction waste, equivalent to more than 2,200 tonnes. Ramhan Island is planned for about 1,800 villas and 900 marina residences, while Jubail Island is a 4,000-hectare waterfront community.
Why it matters: better road access is meant to unlock new development zones on both islands, DMT says.

Dubai Plan Targets 20 Billion Dirham In Property Value
Dubai's Executive Council, chaired by Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, approved an urban centres development policy projected to increase real estate values in targeted areas by 20 billion Dirham by 2040. The plan covers six main centres and 42 sub-centres across 12% of Dubai's urban area, on a budget exceeding 2 billion Dirham. It aims to raise the share of residents living near metro stations from 52% to 74%, and public services coverage from 74% to 85%.
Why it matters: the plan concentrates on areas near metro stations, a signal for where future demand may build.

Aldar's Q3 Profit Jumps 25% To 1.9 Billion Dirham
Aldar Properties reported a 25% annual jump in Q3 net profit attributable to equity holders, to 1.9 billion Dirham. Revenue and rental income rose 16.4% year-on-year to 9.3 billion Dirham. The developer launched seven new projects in the quarter, taking this year's total to 12, including a Yas Island release where it sold almost 1.5 billion Dirham of homes at over 31,000 Dirham per square metre. Group development backlog stood at 71.6 billion Dirham at the end of September, including 59.3 billion Dirham in the UAE.

RTA's Final Bridge Cuts Dubai Travel To One Minute
The RTA has completed the final bridge at the World Trade Centre roundabout, spanning over a kilometre and able to carry 3,000 vehicles per hour. It cuts travel time between Al Majlis Street and 2nd December Street from six minutes to one, and is expected to trim the average intersection delay from 12 minutes to 90 seconds. The project cost more than 696 Million Dirham and completes a five-bridge, 5km network the RTA says will benefit at least half a million residents and visitors.
Why it matters: faster access around World Trade Centre adds value to nearby Business Bay and Downtown addresses.
