After the Android Show announcement, a lot of people thought Google's about to copy Liquid Glass 😭🥀
But well.. that's not what's happening here.
Instead, it seems like Google's heavily expanding blur effects across the UI in Android 17!
From what we've seen, blur has been added to:
- Volume slider and expanded volume panel
- Power menu UI
- Lockscreen shortcuts and notifications
- Home screen context menu

Hello everyone ! Long time without an announcement from your favorite frenchie (@Onelots)
As you know, we try to be as transparent as possible with you.
That's why today we decided to tell you how much money goes in and goes out the project.
As you probably know, about 1 year ago (May 2025) we moved from the "classic" rom scheme (every maintainer builds and send his zips on source forge) to a new one, using a dedicated server to build for all the devices, and cloudflare's content delivery network to provide you the builds as fast as possible all around the world.
This system had many advantages, such as :
- Fast releases (the server is huge)
- Consistent releases (since the sources are always the same as for the other devices on the server)
- Way more security : No one has the signing keys anymore, only the server.
But all this has a cost, and we felt like the community deserved to know what costs how much.
This "1 year period" is the one I used to do this table : From May 2025 to April 2026.
🔊 Please note : We are not begging for money! It's quite the opposite, actually. This message is there to thank you for your support. As you will see in the image below, the people who supported us really helped us to keep the ROM alive.

Oh my... Google finally listened 😭🙏
Well, we are just as shocked as you are, and honestly, we can't believe it either... but Google is finally adopting a long-requested feature from its user base.
We are talking about the ability to remove and customize the infamous Google Search Bar on the home screen.
Previous hints of this feature were already discovered in the Android 17 QPR1 Beta 2 code, but today we are showcasing how it has actually been implemented and what it will look like in the QPR1 stable release.
By accessing the home screen settings, you'll be greeted by a new "Search bar settings" sub-menu, which will let you disable or enable the feature. When enabled, you'll be able to completely customize the look of the bar, from the hue and saturation to the shortcut.

As part of our continued improvements in our ROM's Tricky store section, we have added a keybox revocation status checker.
Instead of going to random tg channels or XDA to ask, just check the selected keybox in our tricky store section and it will tell if it's still valid or revoked. 👌

May 2026 security patches have been merged for all our currently supported branches!

Following this, we will be introducing our latest play integrity fix implementation, will be included with our May updates.
As long as you have an internet connection, entering the pif settings within Evolver will automatically fetch you the latest pif.json config from our github org. This will ensure all users will have the same pif config unless you manually fetch pixel beta/canary/manual fingerprint change.
Along with this, each pif value can also now be manually modified via text box, essentially removing the need to edit the pif.json with a text editor.
