GREATER LIGHT DAILY DEVOTIONAL. AUTHOR: Pastor Godsword Marshall. DATE: Saturday, 15th October 2022. TOPIC: Rule over every circumstance. OPENING SCRIPTURE: Behold,i give unto you power to tread on serpent and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19, KJV. Don't be subjected to the circumstances of this life, don't allow anything from the enemy dominate you. If I say enemy you need to know that there is an enemy out there seeking to devour you, and he can only prevail if you believe in him to, but if you chose not to believe in him, there is nothing he can do against you. In the same way without faith we cannot please or receive anything from God, that's the same way without fear, the devil can do nothing against you. Our Lord Jesus christ had strip him of his powers, so he now stand powerless and in weakness. The power that Satan used against men from generation upon generation was given to him by Adam, it wasn't God who gave Satan the power to do anything on this earth, God gave the power to Adam and when he disobey God and obeyed Satan he became subjected to his kingdom and influence. In Luke 3:6, And the devil said unto him All this power will I give unto thee and the glory of them: for that it is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. The question here is? Who delivered unto him such power and glory? It was Adam. Concerning the same power: after the resurrection and before the ascension of our Lord Jesus he made a remarkable statement which I want us to see in Matthew 28:18, Jesus came and spoke unto them saying; all power is given unto me in heaven and on the earth. The power which was taken away by Satan; was taken back by our Lord Jesus and he delivered it back unto us before his ascension. And he authorize us to cast out demons, tread on scorpions, heal the sick raise the death, why? Because Satan and all his cohorts stands defeated and powerless. Now instead of we being afraid of Satan, he is now afraid of us! Glory to God. Because we have the power to exercise authority and rulership over everything under this earth. Remember the power that our Lord Jesus gave to us exceed the earth and extend into the heavenlies: because he said all power in heaven and on the earth is given unto me. That's why he gave us his name to use, Notice this: at the mention of the name Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, of things on earth and of things under the earth, Philippians 2:10. So learn how to use the name of Jesus over every circumstances of your life, when Jesus received the power he didn't take it back to heaven: he left it here with us, we received it ever since the Holy Spirit came upon us. That was the promise he made to us, and it true we received the power from the day of Pentecost. Now we have this delegated authority, so let us use it in Jesus mighty of name. CONFESSION. Thank you Father,for given me the power to rule and reign in life, I have all things subjected to me in Jesus mighty glorious name, I walk in life having the sense of mastery, I'm not a victim over any circumstances by the power of the Holy Ghost. OPENING SCRIPTURE: Have not I commanded thee? be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9, KJV. The children of Israel were terribly afraid because of the evil report the spies brought when Moses sent them. The spies were sent to spy out the land of Canaan. The people wept bitterly when the spies told them about the giants in the land and how they were like grasshoppers before them, "We can't defeat them," they said, confessing their fear instead of their faith. That's how some Christians are today. They lose heart and allow fear to lay hold on them; after hearing the lies and evil report from the enemy. He puts fear in their hearts by constantly attacking their minds with thoughts about their failing hearth, lacking of money and ect. Now, it doesn't matter what the doctors have diagnosed you with concerning your health or how much is in your account, refuse to fear. Confess your faith by releasing God's word of faith concerning your health and prosperity. I challenge you today to do what Caleb and Joshua did; out of the twelve spies Moses sent to spy out Canaan, only the two of them stood out boldly to voice their faith. They said concerning the giants, "they are bread for us: their defense is departed from them, and the Lord is with us fear them not" Number 14:9. That's a confession of faith, and faith is what gives us the victory. When you find yourself in an uncomfortable position, learn to confess faith-filled words, which is Godsword. Never speak fear. As we read in our opening scripture, the Lord is admonishing you today: "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed." in other words, when things don't seem to be working out right, don't say, " Why me?" instead, be strong and very courageous. Refuse to fear or be discourage; stand your ground in faith and keep the victory shout on. CONFESSION. I speak faith filled words, I refuse to confess fear in any situation that I face in my life: my faith is the victory that have overcome this world. OPENING SCRIPTURE: Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18, KJV. One of the great symbol of every genuine child of God is humility. The bible said in Psalms 10:4, "The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts." Which means because of their physical complexion they wouldn't seek God. This was the same reason why Lucifer fell, the bible said his heart was lifted because of his beauty. (Ezekiel 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.) There're many who corrupt their wisdom, they become foolish in their dealings for the reason of they looking nice. Beauty brings desires, when Prophet Isaiah foretold the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ he made a statement; he said in Isaiah 53:2, "For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him". Implying where there is no beauty there wouldn't be a desire. God is not against his children when they adorn themselves with beauty, what he dislike is they behaving like the wicked because of their beauty, the wicked choses not to seek God because of their looks. They will rather keep their beauty in mind that to keep God in mind. Instead of you being beauty conscious, why don't you be Christ conscious? There's something God said concerning Jerusalem and that's exactly what some Christians find themselves In today, let look at it in Ezekiel 16: 14-16, "Your fame soon spread throughout the world because of your beauty. I dressed you in my splendor and perfected your beauty, says the Sovereign lord. “But you thought your fame and beauty were your own. So you gave yourself as a prostitute to every man who came along. Your beauty was theirs for the asking. You used the lovely things I gave you to make shrines for idols, where you played the prostitute. Unbelievable! How could such a thing ever happen? The word fame in the Hebrew is Shêm, and its pronoun as Shame, which means celebrity, it also means to be famous or to be widely recognised. In our generation today some Christians because they got some likes and compliments from friends and the public, their response toward God changed. Now fasting and praying is seen as something that will reduce their body shape, as they claim! they stop praying and fellowships with the spirit. They have occupied themselves with so many activities from this life. Some too send their tithes and offering to their Pastors but they themselves wouldn't show up in the house of God. "They give nice reasons that the church is your body, there no need to stress yourself if you can't make to the building." See all this behaviour is foolishness gone on rampage! "so God was crazy when he told us we shouldn't neglect the gathering of ourselves as the manner of some is." Stop sending your tithes and offerings if you have the chance of making it to the house of God, go there yourself. He said his delight is not in sacrifices and offerings, it's you that he want, so present yourself as a living sacrifice to him. Return back to your devotion life. God love you and he appreciate you when you do the right thing. CONFESSION: Father I presents my self to you today as a living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable unto you.
