*USD/INR Spot* {Spot Ref: 83.59 Expected Opening} *News/Data*: Post the China Stimulus early this week, are seeing offshore China USD/CNH trade below Onshore USD/CNY, a rare occurrence in recent years. If USD/CNH breaks below 7.00 with momentum, it would generally support global emerging market currencies including the INR. Added to this is the technical development of the DXY nearing the key monthly Support at 99.50 levels. Hence the Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's speech later today will be closely monitored for insights into the future pace of interest rate cuts. This trigger will be crucial in shaping the next phase of market direction in FX markets. *Price Action & Technicals*: For the USD/INR, the Long Term Objective was a move into the 83.90/84.10 areas [Note: we have seen substantial Resistance around those levels]. For the Medium-Term/Short-Term, the pair was broadly tucked into a Range between 83.40 and 84.00 levels and as discussed last week we are seeing a Swing possible to the Lower side of the Range. *Intraday*: No Change. Outlook is still “Sideways to Down”. Support Intraday is at 83.45 {Intraday Buying Areas}. Resistance is at the 83.68 {Held Yesterday - Intraday Selling Areas} levels. [Note: Substantial intervention by the RBI can keep the pair even in a thinner Range post Opening as was the case the last few days/weeks]
