La strategia è quella di minimizzare il terrore, di spostare l'attenzione dall'evidenza che non si possa più letteralmente passeggiare in sicurezza, sottolineando un allarme "razzismo" che certamente esiste ed è quello dei neri verso i bianchi. Belfast è un punto di rottura ed i punti di rottura non avvengono mai quando si palesa un problema, bensì dopo un largo lasso di tempo passato ad ignorare quel problema che poi deflagra sempre e comunque decretando il fallimento di chi vive di illusioni senza fare i conti col mondo reale.

L'individuo di sinistra passa le giornate a divincolarsi fra i molteplici disturbi psichici che declina come " atti giustificati dalla sua inesistente superiore morale" ed i costanti tentativi di autoassolversi in un bluff eterno che non gli darà mai pace, ma che spinge al suicidio anche noi. L'individuo di sinistra è letteralmente l'omino del meme che prende una coltellata nello stomaco per mano di un immigrato e testa impassibile dicendo "beh, sto per morire, ma almeno non sono razzista".
