📰 NEWS REPORT (PRESS RELEASE) IGNOU Learners’ Orientation, Convocation & Dropouts Conclave Held at Vadakkenchery NEP 2020 Familiarisation Programme "IGNOU STAR 2025" Inaugurated Vadakkenchery: The IGNOU Learners’ Orientation, Convocation & Dropouts Conclave – NEP 2020 Familiarisation Programme titled IGNOU STAR 2025 was held at EMS Community Hall, Vadakkenchery, with the participation of hundreds of learners, parents, and academicians. The event was inaugurated by Sri. Ashbin Anil, noted social media influencer, mini-screen artist and popular dancer, who appreciated IGNOU’s role in expanding flexible education and supporting diverse learners across the country. The Keynote Address was delivered by Smt. Rose Vincent, well-known drawing artist and psychologist, who highlighted the importance of creativity, mental well-being, and learner empowerment under the NEP 2020 framework. Centre Chairperson Smt. Saheeda Mubarak, representing the Centre for Behavioural Science (Former IGNOU Study Centre 14178D, currently under revitalisation), delivered the welcome address and emphasised the centre’s renewed commitment to promoting ODL, skill education, and inclusive learning. A Special Familiarisation Talk on NEP 2020 was delivered by Sri. K.M. Mohamed Mubarak, vlogger and counselling psychologist, who explained the policy’s focus on flexible entry–exit options, skill integration, and new opportunities for dropouts through credit transfer and lateral entry.
