your aim was to play football professionally or to become a football coach, but you ended up joining sport science and learning about every sport activity out there in the world. sometimes, you want to practice shooting drills in university, but your teacher tells you to study about how long-distance runners run. then at the end of the day, after 4 or 5 yrs, u become a noob in all sport activities

if you want to be a football player, you don't need to go to university to learn sport science. you just need to join local football clubs and learn/play football there.

i wish universities had the policy where teachers were not allowed to assign assignments/homeworks/projects the week after vacation under any circumstances

#Blog What is my ultimate goal in learning Reinforcement Learning?

Devin is not gonna take your job but I wanna tell you one thing if I were to go back to start programming I won't be just a web developer. I will have a web dev skill definitely but I will also have a specific set of skill which most Devs avoid.

- @chapimenge Reinforcement learning is a subset of machine learning that has been gaining traction rapidly, and trust me, it's not just for controlling paddles in a Pong game. Here's an example, Autonomous driving, where RL can be used to teach self-driving cars to navigate through complex roads and make decisions in real-time. fun fact: the first AI program to beat human experts at a complex game was AlphaGo, which used reinforcement learning to master the game of Go in 2016. Reinforcement learning is not just limited to digital simulation; it has a much wider application beyond that. It will be the catalyst for the benefits of AI to break through the physical barrier, making robots and machines more intelligent and autonomous. Yes, you heard me right - the AI revolution has just started, and there's more to it beyond just ChatGPT. I think reinforcement learning is CAN also be used in various industries such as finance and education. For example, in finance, to optimize portfolio management and trading strats and In education, RL can personalize learning journeys and edu material recommendations just like for movies and stuff for students. RL will play a key role in the upcoming Robo-AI rally(I just coined that term lol), which is expected to revolutionize the robotics industry. It is a quickly developing field with billions of dollars being invested into its research and development every year. One notable application of reinforcement learning in robotics is highlighted by a recent paper from Google DeepMind, where they trained an AI to gain 5 years of sports experience in just 3 days. All this thanks to Reinforcement Learning. I've been fascinated by the potential of AI and robotics, and I believe that Reinforcement Learning is the key to unlocking its full power. With RL, we can train agents to make decisions in complex environments and apply this technology to real-world problems. Moreover, in situations where data is scarce or unavailable - such as when there is no direct mapping between input A and output B - RL can enable machines to learn from experience, just like my Pong Agent is doing. which just relies on trial-and-error exploration of their environment, And surprise, surprise, this is also how humans do learning. Again, So why am I learning RL? I want to be part of this exciting revolution that the future will rely on(and sets me apart from most other devs and even if a real Devin arrives). This reason is quite different from the one that initially drew me into Machine Learning three years ago, which was driven by my curiosity and interest in simulating artificial life which will also be a possibility with RL😆 (It wasn't supposed to take this long but, This has been in my drafts for about 3 days now.
