How to enjoy your favorite meal without feeling guilty? Occasionally I would treat myself over a good breakfast on a weekend morning. Sometimes, these breakfasts cost me to experience an energy dip after. As someone who is conscious about health and energy, there are a few rules that I stick to for me to minimize my sugar crash while truly enjoy my meal without guilt. Today I'm having Egg Benedict over some fried chicken and salad. Here's how I would enjoy my meal... 1. Separate the sauce from the food. Most of the time we don't realize that majority of the calories actually come from the sauce and dressings we take in. These dressings are usually high in sugar and sodium, which cause us to put up weight. 2. Eat your Veggie first, follow by protein and fats, then carbs. Research has shown that by just changing the order of eating your food, it can reduce your blood sugar spikes up to 75%! This means lesser cravings, lesser inflammation and minimizing the energy drop you would experience later. 3. Only take half portion of you carbs. If you were to follow the sequence of eating above, you would have already been 80% full before even eating your carbs. Reducing your carbs intake allow you to enjoy food without the guilt of overeating and going overboard on your calories you take in. 4. Have a cup of coffee or tea to kill off your appetite. Once my meal is done, I would either have a cup of black coffee or black tea to kill of my appetite. The bitterness in coffee and tea helps in suppressing your appetite, preventing you from ordering another plate of dessert. By adhering to these few rules, it has allowed me to enjoy the food that I love while maintaining my energy level. Hope this help...Happy Weekend!

The 4 Elements of Morning Routines that 10X your energy…

First workday of the week - check out my morning routines here ! Hope you guys have a great day!

A prepared mind craves the worst conditions because it knows that pressure brings out its best and exposes almost everyone else. We have to learn to stop looking for a sign that the hard time will end. When the distance is unknown, it is even more critical that you stay locked in so the unknown factor doesn’t steal your focus. The end will come when it comes, and anticipation will only distract you from completing the task in front of you to the best of your ability When you’re climbing a mountain or involved in any other difficult task, the only way to free yourself from the struggle is to finish it. So why bitch about it when it gets hard? Why hope it will end soon when you know it will end eventually? When you complain and your mind starts groping for the eject button The hard chargers keep their heads down and hammer away. They have trained their minds to stay hard in those hard moments. They recognize the false summit for what it is and will always act as if they are nowhere near the top. Most people slow down and suffer on a steep trail, but slope and elevation are of no consequence to the hard charger. They keep their mind in attack mode until there are no more mountains to climb, and when they actually reach the top, they wish it had lasted a little bit longer. David Goggins

5 biohacks that make you feel more ALIVE!

If you’re feeling tired all the time, it could be due to several reasons. Here are three common ones:⁣ ⁣ 1. Exposure to screens before bed⁣ ⁣ In today’s world, screens are everywhere and it’s hard to avoid them. But looking at screens before bedtime can disrupt our sleep patterns and make it difficult to fall asleep. ⁣ ⁣ The blue light emitted from our devices tricks our brains into thinking it’s still daytime, making it hard to wind down. ⁣ ⁣ To avoid this, try to limit screen time before bed and instead read a book or listen to some calming music.⁣ ⁣ 2. Having too much coffee in the day ⁣ ⁣ While coffee can be a great pick-me-up in the morning, drinking too much of it throughout the day can disrupt our sleep patterns. ⁣ ⁣ Caffeine is a stimulant that can stay in our system for several hours, making it hard to fall asleep at night. ⁣ ⁣ Try to limit your coffee intake to the morning hours and switch to decaf or herbal tea in the evening.⁣ ⁣ 3. Pressing the snooze button too much in the morning.⁣ ⁣ While it may be tempting to hit snooze and enjoy a few more minutes of sleep, doing so can actually make you feel more tired.⁣ ⁣ Snoozing disrupts our sleep patterns and can make it harder to get up and start the day. ⁣ ⁣ Instead of hitting snooze, try setting a consistent wake-up time and sticking to it every day.⁣ ⁣ By making a few simple changes in your daily routine, you can start feeling more rested and rejuvenated.

What holds 90% of people back from reaching their desired success? As I reflected on my journey of working with our students, I was struck by the differences between the beginners and the peak performers. The biggest excuse that held people back was a lack of time… But the real problem was an ineffective system for managing their energy.⁣ ⁣ Most of us go through the day feeling drained and exhausted, knowing we could've done more but losing steam in the middle of the day. Our minds want to push forward, but our bodies are tired. And as we struggle to overcome resistance, lack of motivation, and even food cravings, we're using up precious willpower.⁣ ⁣ But what most performance coaches don't tell you is that your energy is affected by two key factors: your Psychology and your Biochemistry. Psychology - When you have clarity in your goals, vision, and purpose, your body is filled with energy and motivation. Biochemistry - When your biochemistry is lacking essential nutrients like dopamine and serotonin, it's impossible to achieve peak performance no matter how hard you try.⁣ That's why, if you're serious about becoming a peak performer and reaching your desired success, you need to have a system in place that addresses both your psychology and biochemistry. What is the biggest challenge that is holding you back when it comes to your success right now ? Comment below.
