It finally happened.

Kalash Bash just keeps getting better every year. We had a great time reconnecting with familiar faces and finally putting names to new ones. Thank you to every single AKP who committed the time and money to assemble the kit, acquire event tickets, fly and drive for hours (some of you, for days), and be a part of this special occasion. It was a pleasure spending the weekend with a group of friendly, proficient, and motivated men. Hope you all had a great time competing, shooting machine guns, talking with vendors, and fellowshipping with everybody. You represented the AKP community well. You truly are the best tribe.

All I ever hear about from the galil ace shooters is how much better they are than regular AKs; but when I point out the competitive advantages of galil aces over AKs, the galil ace shooters tell me they are exactly the same and that I’m just jealous and suck at shooting and antiseptic. 🤔😁

Good news: RWRS shirts arrive Thursday and will ship out same or next day. Bad news: you won’t have them in time for Kalash Bash.

Might get a 3X magnifier. Thinking Aimpoint. Only problem is I have a CompM5s on a low T2-style mount so I can find zero mounts that line up with its 1.34” centerline. If I get a low Arisaka magnifier mount, and then put it on a .5” riser, maybe that could work? Gets me to 1.39” centerline I believe.

We’re doing a limited run of ten custom 20” barrel 5.56” AKs as part of a collab with two well-known AK builders. Dropping later this week.

Going to the Veil Solutions 3D Carbine course in May. Hope I don’t need any magnification on my gun.

Kalash Bash is almost here!

There will always be a place for larger caliber intermediate rifle cartridges, especially for short barreled and suppressed use. You basically have two practical options for that, 7.62x39 and .300 BLK. If you want AR manual of arms, run a .300 BLK AR. If you want AK manual of arms, run a 7.62x39 Ak. It’s that simple. 7.62x39 ARs and .300 BLK AKs introduce unnecessary compromises in reliability and durability compared to their native configurations.
