Recently, the number of 100 and 200-level students contacting us for past questions has become alarming. While past questions can be helpful, one major pitfall you must avoid at these levels is relying on them as your main examination preparation strategy.
Many available past questions for 100 and 200-level courses are now outdated and may not adequately reflect the current course content or examination pattern.
Past questions may still be useful for some programmes, general courses such as GST and CIT, and a few other courses. However, students offering most e-examination courses should combine them with newer, better-refined study tools and resources.
One highly recommended resource is a professionally prepared Exam Summary. Please note that an Exam Summary is different from a Course Summary. We will explain the differences and benefits more clearly in another post.
Apart from Exam Summaries, Mock Examination Practice is another excellent tool. It helps you test your knowledge, become familiar with likely question styles, identify weak areas and improve your speed before the real examination.

| 3 | 🚨 300-LEVEL AND ABOVE STUDENTS: YOUR EXAMINATIONS ARE CLOSER THAN YOU THINK!
Unlike 100 and 200-level students, those in 300 level and above have much less time before their examinations begin. Your preparation window is already closing, so this is the time to plan properly and work seriously.
NOUN does not reward excuses, procrastination or slackness. When results are released, nobody will ask whether you were busy, tired or waiting for motivation. You will receive the grade that reflects the quality of your preparation.
Complete your TMAs early and accurately. Do not allow unfinished TMAs to consume the time you should be using for revision and proper note-making. Prepare as though your academic future depends on it because, in many ways, it does.
Remember: students who graduate with First Class, Second Class, Third Class or lower classifications generally pay the same school fees. The difference is often how wisely each student uses their time, resources and opportunities.
Do not donate your money and several years of your life to NOUN without obtaining a result you will be proud of. Accept the temporary stress of disciplined study now so that you can enjoy the reward later.

TMA submission has been open since last week. However, some students are still unable to proceed because their Discussion Forums have not yet been opened
If your forum is still locked, keep checking your eLearn portal regularly. Once the discussion forum becomes available, ensure you complete it so you can proceed with your TMA activities.

There have been reports of glitches with Remita payments, which have affected some students trying to make payments and complete registration on the NOUN portal.
