Water Dog WIPs🐾

Dang, I've been running around getting ready, I didn't have any time to get pics before it got dark. Guess I gotta get pics Tuesday!

Hey fuzzies, sorry for the radio silence! I've been finishing up a premade and really honing in on what I want my eyes to look like going forward. I'm extremely happy with the progress on that front and have been in the process of getting all the eyes updated for those who's eyes I've already made. They're 100/waterproof which, I think, is pretty awesome. They're not going to chip or lose paint. They're even alcohol resistant! I didn't come to this on my own though. I started looking into printed eyes maybe a year and a half ago? I didn't like the methods that were out there. They either revolved around an outside source to get them made with a material I wasn't 100% happy with or they didn't hold up to everyday wear and tear. Then LatinVixen started testing the waters with dye sub and suddenly, there was a method that encompassed everything I wanted in a material and transfer method that was SOLID. I did a slew of my own tests, trying different fabrics, vinyls, plastics and such and finally landed on the mesh I'm using now. It's not the easiest to use but once they're in, I think they look really good and ✨vibrant✨ It has taken a lot of time to get this method to a working stage that I'm happy with and feel more than comfortable using. If you've noticed my sale's thread lately, you'll see that I've even be selling them as kits! All in all, I'm thrilled to have this method in my tool kit now. I'm even going back and redoing eyes that I can still redo on the comms I have now. All of the comm work I have now in the foam base stage will be getting these new eyes and some new shaping, in line with the shapes and techniques that I've been working on these past few months. These aren't huge changes. They're more like fine tweaking but definitely noticable in my opinion. This Saturday is my birthday so I'll be heading out of town early tomorrow and won't be back in the studio till Tuesday. I'll be getting back to showing more WIPs once we get back. Take care y'all! The secret suit is done! I can't wait to share these pics with you all but I gotta wait for it to get to the recipient before I can share since I think they follow me?? I don't know exactly but it's going to be exciting. I should probably figure out who this suit is for so I can follow them 🤔

Sorry for the lack of updates. It's hard for me to update when I can't post these pics just yet ;o; This suit is nearly done! All that's left is to install the teeth, tongue and neck ❤️❤️

So I've fixed the eyes! It was a... challenge, to say the least. I really wish I could show the eyes to you but after the fix, it would be too easy for the recipient to start getting clues and piecing this puzzle together. Just know that I love where it's going 🥺

I got the base all taped up today only realize I've made a big mistake with the eyes. I gotta disassemble a lot of things to fixe the error so I guess that's what all of tomorrow will be 🥴

Additionally, this base is using ALL of my new things I've been working on! New eye blank shapes, new printed eyes (100% waterproof) and some slightly new shapes here and there. Can't wait to see it all together :o

Finished up the base for the secret comm in my queue. This will be the last pic I care share cause all other pics will show markings and might give it away. Next time you see this one, it'll be done! (Just gonna do text updates for the rest of the month)

Had the eye blanks ready for those one so went ahead and get them installed + the brows over top. Really love how it's all coming together ;w; (this is Piper for those curious)

Sadly, I still have not received the eye prints. The tracking says it's still on the way and that it's arriving late but it hasn't updated since then. I really hope their not lost but if it's not here by Wednesday, I'll message the printer and see what I can do about having them reprinted. On another note, I've started revamping the studio. We found out last week that my SO's job will pretty much be permanently remote which is great! But now I'm moving a lot of things around to really make the space as functional and possible. This meant getting rid of the huge cutting table and replacing it with a small computer desk for Diesel and filling the remaining space with two bookshelves for much more storage space. The bookshelves should arrive by Wednesday but maybe sooner🙏. Either way, the studio is... A mess. I took some before shots though so I'll def share those here once I have the after shots :3

Quick little update. I may not have much to post today. Still waiting on those dang prints and currently trying to get up the courage to go the doctor today. We'll see how I feel when I get back

Got the ears mostly done of this wolf. Really peeved my dye sub prints haven't gotten here yet but it's on the mail at this point. Here's to hoping they get here tomorrow 🤞🤞 In the mean time, I might just be able to get this guy done 🤷‍♀️
