An overview of major religious body in NYSC series 3 First we will be examining MCAN What is MCAN: MCAN is an acronym for "Muslim Corpers Association of Nigeria", in this series of posts we will be looking at a glance what MCAN entails MCAN has for more than three (3) decades achieved a very close relationship with Muslim graduates that have successfully qualified for the one year National Youth Service in the various states of the Federation. The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme brought to limelight by the Decree No 24 of 1973, made possible in Nigeria the deployment of eligible graduates from universities and other relevant institutions of higher learning within the country and abroad to undertake a National Service in states/areas other than their state of origin. This then made it possible for fresh Muslim graduates to gather under a platform which the Muslim Corps Members could organise and coordinate themselves for the purposes of collectively carrying out Islamic responsibilities; hence, the formation of Muslim Corpers Association of Nigeria (MCAN). The Association was inaugurate during 1978/1979 service year. MCAN has its National Headquarters in Mabushi, Abuja and branches all over the 36 states of the Federation including the FCT. The Association was registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in 1994. The membership of the Association is open to all serving Muslim corps members in the Federation and the FCT. All serving Muslim corps members constitute MCAN upon registration with MCAN at their arrival on the various NYSC Orientation Camps. LEADERSHIP NCCF is a prepared system that is passing the leader baton seamlessly will been supervised. From looking at the way duties and functions of executives are been done, you will think that they have been there for years, whereas its just by training and guidance.  Served as an executive at Yagba East Zone of Kogi state the experience was so wonderful. Building of our zonal Jesus corpers lodge increase my experience in construction and fund raising. State rugged, state conference, Zonal rugged, also the monthly GENCO is a great experience that prepare you for future life etc. 7. FAMILY SETTING The family setting of family house is just so wonderful. Where you have to see Papa(Leader of NCCF) as a father no matter his age. It help one to be humble and respect authorities. It prepare in future family setup. As a Mama(Female Leader of NCCF) you will learn how to cook, take care of many people just like you should be submissive to the order of your husband. As Uncle (Leader of NCCF) you learn to be a disciplarian, to keep record, relate with people etc. 8. HELPED APPRECIATE GOD Our core vision "rural rugged"  helps in experiencing the type of life other people are living. Especially ministering to the less priviledge the word of God. which the great commandment to every christian. Also we share welfare materials, attend to there medical needs and meet other spiritual needs. It always bring happiness to see the level of joy the villagers feel in those few days. These and many more are d reason I always thank God for NCCF. An overview of major religious body in NYSC series 1 We are sharing this experience as corpers go on journey and need somewhere to stay. This bodies corpers house can really be helpful. All about NCCF and objectives First what is NCCF? NCCF which stands for Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship is an interdenominational fellowship that operate as a FAMILY, FELLOWSHIP and ORGANIZATION. It helps christian corpers to live and relate for proper spiritual and moral growth. NCCF has a structure that if any corper can subject to will find his/her service to God & father's land fulfilling. And usually leave an unforgettable experience with her member Objectives NCCF helps corpers achieve, also cut across pre-orientation (connecting members and chapter to help PCM), during orientation (the first main touch with corpers) and post orientation (Joining the family) We will combine all of the stage of what NCCF helps corpers achieve into 8 broad things from the first hand story of an ex executive of Kogi NCCF member 1. NCCF HELPED IN REGISTRATION. With the crowd of corpers that are new to the system, NCCF helped in filling all the form properly and the next place to go till you finish. This also relief some people that are not used to the stress which an average Nigerian see as normal 2. PROMPT INFORMATION Many useful information about what and when to do what, from going to camp info assistance, to camp information even till finishing service year they serve as a community to get them communicated mostly to you in the evening fellowship, and guidance from our batches/stream that will make your service year less sressful. 3. ACCOMMODATION AFTER CAMP It's not an exergeration that the day you go to ur PPA from camp is always a stressful day, also with great fear of where you are going. NCCF will send bus to camp from different zones to convey corpers free. Many wil end up sleeping in NCCF family house because of the over-crowdness of LG corpers lodge. They will still also guide in registration in the LG, direction fresh corpers to their PPAs and opening their account(if needed) 4. MORAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH For some that lived in the family house, this the will easily relate with. NCCF helped corpers to have a better relationship in their faith. And straight some corpers loss desires as a religious body help reinstated moral and value to it members while also to connecting them with new people. 5. TALENT DISCOVERY NCCF has help been a platform for some to discover themselves. Right from camp they allow corpers to easily join any unit develop themselves.
