This is interesting. Heaven in 7 layers is connected to where we get the term 7th heaven, and for the numerical concept of lucky 7. The part about it I find the most interesting is that in more ancient astrology times there would often only be listed 7 planets. In the Greek Magical Papyri for the Mithras Liturgy, there are seven phases for the ascension ritual. One of these phases one is taken through the seven planets and to the Gods associated with them and lastly on the 7th phase one is taken to the "Highest God" Who is described very similar to Zeus / Dyḗus ph₂tḗr and the purpose of the ritual is for divine revelation or apathanatismos from God and divine connection.
