📢 LIVE UPSC ESSAY MASTERCLASS — THIS SUNDAY Have you looked at the recent UPSC Essay paper and wondered: “How am I supposed to write on topics like these?” “Oxymorons reflect the ironies of life.” “A well-educated mind will always have more questions than answers.” These topics cannot be approached simply as extensions of GS. The real challenge is how you interpret the statement, generate dimensions, develop depth and connect ideas. So, this Sunday, I'm conducting a LIVE Google Meet session on: How to Think Through a Philosophical Essay We will take an actual UPSC essay topic and work through it: Interpretation → Dimensions → Depth → Structure This will also give you an idea of how I approach Essay preparation and what we will build systematically in the upcoming Essay Course. 🗓️ Sunday. 30th August 💻 Link would be shared soon Ps: to all those who have filled the earlier Google form. Still interested...fill this form..link would be shared

Yes—build curiosity first, then place the reel link around the middle-later part, so they have a reason to click. Yesterday, I asked you to think about GLOFs. Not just: What is it? What causes it? What are its consequences? What are the solutions? I wanted you to think deeper. Now think beyond GLOFs. Think about Assam floods, Himalayan flash floods, urban floods, landslides and several other disasters. The immediate causes may be different. But ask yourself: Why do some natural hazards become catastrophic disasters? And more importantly— Are we only dealing with a “natural” problem? There are deeper differential factors at play: Environmental awareness → Public pressure → Political will → Environmental priority → Better & greener solutions → Reduced vulnerability I have tried to explain this thought through a short reel. Watch this carefully 👇 [REEL LINK] Don't just watch it. Think. Observe. Connect the dots. - Venkatesh Emani

Think Beyond the Question I want all of you to think about this: 🌊 What is a GLOF? 🔹 How are GLOFs caused? 🔹 What are their consequences? 🔹 What can be done to manage and mitigate them? But I want you to think one step deeper. Don't approach this merely as a question–answer exercise. Observe the event. Look at the terrain, glaciers, lakes, valleys, settlements, infrastructure and human activity. Ask yourself: 👉 Can GLOFs actually be prevented? 👉 If yes, how? 👉 If not, what exactly can we prevent or reduce? 👉 Where does science end and governance begin? 👉 What role do early-warning systems, land-use planning, infrastructure and local communities play? Think. Beyond science and existing solutions why are we having these catastrophic events. It boils down to which point? I will connect the dots
