In last week's YouTube video, I mentioned that FIIs were investing in the Hang Seng market for short-term gains. Now, we have seen the Shanghai Composite drop by 4% after a continuous rally, and the Hang Seng is down by 2% today. This confirms the accuracy of the information we provided. I also said that the market would recover on Monday; while the recovery happened a day late, on Tuesday, we did not create panic among retail investors by predicting a major market crash, as many on social media did. Unfortunately, many retail investors exited in loss, fearing a big crash.
Over the last two days, our portfolio has gained 50 to 60%, and we expect a full recovery within the next week. This highlights the importance of patience in the share market, especially for those who understand why the market is falling, the underlying reasons, and when it is likely to recover. You can't predict market recovery solely based on chart patterns or technical levels, which often cause unnecessary panic among investors with numerous downside targets.👆👆

FII selling is decreasing day by day, which is a positive sign, while DII are working to offset this FII selling. Today, the Hang Seng Index in China fell by 10%, while the Shanghai Composite rose by 4%, indicating that some funds are flowing from FIIs into Shanghai markets. However, it's likely that this index also will soon reach a peak, prompting FIIs to begin profit-booking.
The recovery of our market largely depends on the extent of FII selling. If they sell between ₹4,000 to ₹5,000 crore, our DIIs can easily offset this. As I’ve mentioned many times before, our mutual funds have a cash reserve of ₹1.8 lakh crore, which will be deployed whenever FIIs sell. This is the strength of our domestic liquidity, which has protected us from a major market crash. If DIIs hadn’t bought such large quantities, our market would have crashed by over 20% in a week, due to the FIIs selling an unprecedented ₹50,000 crore in just one week – something never before seen in Indian market history.I’ll reiterate that FIIs have little choice but to return to India, as China's economy cannot grow at the same rate as India’s, even with stimulus packages in place.
The recovery in the market will be slow, as I mentioned earlier, due to the upcoming Q2 results. A major event this week is TCS announcing its Q2 results, which will likely have an impact on market sentiment.👆
