Housing developers may opt for the build-then-sell (BTS) housing delivery system rather than a sell-then-build (STB) delivery system soon. 😀
Local Government Development (KPKT) Minister Nga Kor Ming said the ministry is planning to introduce the move to reduce the number of ‘sick’ or delayed housing projects, adding that the KPKT will work together with the Real Estate Housing Development Association (Rehda) to overcome the issue.

The Malaysian Federal Court has confirmed that homebuyers can bring separate claims involving the same property in order to stay within the RM50,000 jurisdictional limit of the Homebuyer’s Tribunal (TPPR). 😎
The RM50,000 limit does not have to be for the combination of all claims in respect of the same property, as long as the respective claims are for different types of actions.

Malaysia’s real estate market recorded a stable performance in the first half of 2023 (1H 2023), with the value of transactions increasing by 1.1 per cent to RM85.37 billion from RM84.40 billion in 1H 2022.
Deputy Finance Minister I Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the volume of transactions, however, showed a marginal decrease of 2.1 per cent to 184,140 for 1H 2023 versus 188,002 in the corresponding period last year.
