#BiharCurrentAffairs बिहार में बढ़ रहा संस्थागत जन्म केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय द्वारा प्रकाशित स्वास्थ्य प्रबंधन और सूचना प्रणाली (एचएमआईएस) की विश्लेषणात्मक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, संस्थागत प्रसव में 2021-22 में मामूली वृद्धि देखी गई, जिसमें 86.7% पंजीकृत गर्भवती महिलाएं प्रसव के लिए स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों में गईं। बिहार, 2020-21 के आंकड़ों की तुलना में जब 86.2% महिलाएं प्रसव के लिए स्वास्थ्य संस्थान गईं। आंकड़ों के अनुसार, राज्य संस्थागत प्रसव में नीचे से चौथे या गर्भवती महिलाओं के घर पर अपने नवजात शिशु को जन्म देने में ऊपर से चौथे स्थान पर था। आंकड़े बताते हैं कि बिहार में 13.3% प्रसव घर पर होते हैं, जिससे मां और शिशु दोनों को खतरा होता है। जबकि दक्षिणी राज्यों ने लगभग 100% संस्थागत प्रसव के साथ इस मानदंड में एक बेंचमार्क हासिल किया है, उत्तर-पूर्वी राज्य सबसे खराब प्रदर्शन करने वालों में से थे।

#BiharCurrentAffairs Institutional Births on the Rise in Bihar As per the analytical report of health management and information system (HMIS) published by Union ministry of health and family welfare, the institutional deliveries showed a marginal increase in 2021-22 with 86.7% of the registered pregnant women going to health centres for delivery in Bihar, compared to 2020-21 data when 86.2% of women went to the health institution for delivery. As per the data, the state was fourth from the bottom in institutional deliveries or fourth from the top in pregnant women delivering their newborn at home. The data suggests that 13.3% of deliveries in Bihar happened at home, posing risk to both the mother and the infant. While southern states have achieved a benchmark in this criterion, with almost 100% institutional deliveries, north-eastern states were amongst the worst performers.

#BiharCurrentAffairs '69.4% kids & 64% women anaemia in Bihar' Anaemia is a serious health concern across the globe. In Bihar also, majority of women and children are anaemic and their number has bee increasing. As per the National Family Health Survey-5 (NFHS-5) data, 69.4% of children aged between 6 and 59 months nearly 64% women in Bihar, compared to 30% men. Compared to NFHS-4, the percentage of anaemic children and women has increased while it has decreased in men in Bihar. As per NFHS-4 data, 63.5% of children were found anaemic. That increased to 69.4% in NFHS-5. For women (both pregnant as well as general) aged between 15 and 49 years, the number of anaemic increased from 60.3% to 63.5% in the last 5 years. In men aged 15 to 49 years, anaemic decreased from 32.3% to 29.5%. Even the national data shows similar trend. But unlike Bihar where percentage of anaemic men has decreased, national average shows an increase in this category also. Another data, recently published by the Union health ministry after the analysis of its health management and information system (HMIS), marked Bihar in the bottom five in treatment given at the health institutions to pregnant women suffering from severe anaemia, with 37.52% of such women getting treatment in 2021-22, unlike 2020-21, when 43.82% such women were given treatment at the hospital.

#BiharCurrentAffairs बिहार में प्रदूषित नदियों की संख्या चार साल में तीन गुना बढ़ी: सीपीसीबी जल निकायों को स्वच्छ रखने के लिए केंद्र और राज्य दोनों सरकारों के बढ़ते प्रयासों के बावजूद विभिन्न नदियों का पानी गंदा हो रहा है। केंद्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड (CPCB) के एक हालिया अध्ययन के अनुसार, पिछले चार वर्षों में बिहार में प्रदूषित नदी के हिस्सों की संख्या में तीन गुना वृद्धि हुई है। राज्य में प्रदूषित नदी के हिस्सों (पीआरएस) की संख्या 2018 में छह से बढ़कर 2022 में 18 हो गई। अध्ययन में कहा गया है कि पूर्वी चंपारण में सिरसिया नदी का पानी सबसे प्रदूषित पाया गया है। राज्य में कोई महत्वपूर्ण औद्योगिक प्रतिष्ठान नहीं हैं, नदियों का प्रदूषित पानी बैक्टीरियोलॉजिकल आबादी के उच्च मूल्यों (कुल कॉलीफॉर्म और फीकल कॉलिफॉर्म) की उपस्थिति को दर्शाता है, जो प्रदूषण के मुख्य स्रोत के रूप में सीवेज / घरेलू अपशिष्ट जल का संकेत देता है। अभी तक पर्याप्त संख्या में सीवेज उपचार संयंत्रों का निर्माण नहीं किया गया है और अनुपचारित सीवेज अभी भी नदियों में छोड़ा जा रहा है, जिससे नदी का पानी दूषित हो रहा है।
