Beautiful Sculpture of Narsimha and Chenchulakshmi From 11th Century...!!! Chenchulakshmi (चेंचूलक्ष्मी)...!!!! Lord Narasimha, after killing Hiranyakashypu, wandered in this mountain jungle in an angry mood. The deities were very worried about this frightening form and prayed to Goddess Lakshmi to pacify Narasimha. She took the form of Chenchita or Chenchu Lakshmi, a tribal girl who lived in the same forest as the daughter of the tribal chief Saurasena. Narasimha saw the tribal girl Chenchu Lakshmi and admired her. Her beauty pacified the anger of the God and he fell in love with her. Finally, Lord Narasimha was appeased by the tribal girl and married her and became the son-in-law of the tribal chief.
