Respected Sir, Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper. I would like to draw the attention of the Concerned authorities towards the rising prices of essential commodities. The problem of rising prices has become very common. The prices of essential commodities such as pulses,cereals, oils, spices, sugar, green vegetables and fruits have sharply in past few years. It has become very difficult for the people to make both ends meet. The middle class salaried people cannot manage their household budgets within their meagre salaries. The poor sections of the society and wage earners are the worst affected. The main reason behind the price hike are increasing black marketing and hoarding of such essential commodities  and corruption in Civil supplies department.   It is high time that government necessary steps to control the rising prices. Article - 2 Health is Wealth- As we all know and are aware of this saying- “Health is wealth”. It is as true as our life. Good health keeps us happy and gives complete satisfaction of physical, mental, social and intellectual satisfaction. Fresh air, clean drinking water, proper sunlight, balanced diet, avoiding fast or junk food, living in a clean and healthy environment, morning walks and regular exercise are essential to maintain good health. A healthy balanced diet plays a huge role in improving our mental and physical health. Apart from all these things, good sleep is also essential to maintain a healthy body. Good health is also helpful in keeping our body free from chronic diseases like cancer, diabetes, heart attack etc.

Passage 3 Life is not a bed of roses but a bed of thorns. It is full of dangers and difficulties. They have to be overcome, if we are to succeed in life. In the race of life, we should not be afraid of the risk which is but natural. Success in any work in life goes to those persons who welcome risk. Science would not have made such wonderful achievements if our scientists had not risked their lives and comforts. The more difficult a work is, the harder should be our efforts to perform it. Life is not a smooth sailing. Petty difficulties frighten a weaker heart who is not prepared to take a risk. But brave hearts achieve fame and honour because they enjoy taking risks. 🍂Why did the peddler consider the world as a rattrap? Ans-

The peddler thinks of the world as a mousetrap because he has the notion that the whole world has no other purpose except to bait people. It offers luxuries, happiness, shelter and food just like a mousetrap offers cheese and pork but as soon as a person is tempted to touch the bait he gets trapped in the cage.

The Rattrap seller was a peddler. He made rattraps himself by begging for the material required at stores and large farms. Since his business was not quite profitable, he used to beg or steal in order to survive.

💐💐Central Idea of the Poem – Keeping Quiet💐💐

The poem ‘Keeping Quiet’ is composed by Pablo Neruda In this poem, the poet suggests that he will count to twelve and everybody will keep still. He suggests that on the Earth, at our dwelling place, we should be silent and motionless for a few moments. He asks all the human beings to stop all worldly activities for some time and spend a few moments in quiet introspection. It will help us to understand ourselves. We are always in hurry. He says that stillness and silence will help man in creating a feeling of mutual understanding among human beings. That’s why the poet Pablo Neruda has discussed the need of maintaining peace and silence in the poem ‘Keeping Quiet’.

आशा के बिना मानव जीवन असम्भव है। यदि आशा न होती तो मनुष्य का जीवन बड़ा बोझिल और दुखमय हो जाता। विद्यार्थी साल भर कड़ा परिश्रम करते हैं केवल इसी आशा पर कि वे सफलता का मुख देखेंगे। एक किसान घोर उष्णता और शीत का तनिक भी ध्यान नहीं करता। इसी प्रकार व्यापारी लोग व्यापार में धन लगाते हैं। केवल इसी आशा का आश्रय लेकर ताकि उनका व्यापार उनके लिए लाभकारी सिद्ध हो। तभी तो बुद्धिमान तथा महापुरूषों ने आशा को मानव रूपी जहाज का सम्बल कहा है।

Human life is impossible without hope. If hope would not be here, human life would become sorrowful and hefty. Students do hard work whole year having hope that they will see the face of success. A farmer never heed about the frigid cold. In the same way merchants invest money only having the hope that they would get profit from this. Therefore wise and great men called that hope is the supplement of human like ship.
