Why “Model Answers” is the most inefficienct way to prepare for RBI Grade B Descriptive? With the change in pattern, RBI Phase II is now 70% descriptive. Still, the material that aspirants are studying remains the same as that of old pattern. Aspirants first study bulky materials for the objective part and when they find it hard to revise before Phase II they try to fill the gap through reading of model answers. Or the worst, they try to evaluate their answers through model answers. The beauty (and also the curse) of descriptive question is that there is no right answer as such. Model answers are prepared assuming we have unlimited brain power and we can remember every fact in the world. But we are not AI, we are humans! While model answers based evaluation is easy for the business of a coaching institute, it causes more harm than good to an aspirant’s preparation. Our request is to not get disheartended by looking at facts heavy model answers that are humanly impossible to reproduce in the exam. Instead, that’s what @acads recommend 1.
