A government bill will forbid the creation or sale of laboratory-made foods or animal feed, with fines of up to €60,000 for violators, whose companies could be closed by the police. UCSF epidemiologist Dr. Tracy Høeg, who published extensively on COVID-19 transmission in schools, testified before Congress that the CDC's school closures caused significant harm to American children, contradicting European nations and the scientific evidence: "The first data out of Wuhan showed children had a greater than a 1000-fold decrease in mortality compared with elderly adults, and Europe in Spring 2020 showed no corresponding increase in community transmission related to school reopenings and minimal transmission within schools... There was an implicit understanding across Europe that children must have a safe happy environment to return to before parents can return to work. Where was that sentiment in the US? In the Fall of 2020, in stark contrast to Europe, the CDC set reopening guidelines that put greater than 90% of the country into the most restrictive tier for reopening based on arbitrary community transmission levels, which we had already seen from Europe were not necessary to reopen schools.
