Deferral exams this weekend, QP Year 6 Special, LP Roadshow in London 🗒 This is a friendly reminder that the FINAL chance to take the LP and QP exams is this weekend (9th-10th September) inshāʾAllāh. To access the exams, simply click on the Exams tab on the portal; the exams are scheduled to go live on the portal at 8:00am GMT on Saturday and taken down on Sunday night. We ask that students do not share any comments or questions about the content of the exams on the Telegram groups until then, so as to avoid spoiling it for other students. On Tuesday evening (12th September), Year 6 of Quranic Progression will be starting online at 8:30pm GMT. The first lesson will be a QP Special on the life of Shaykh Muḥammad al-Amīn al-Shinqīṭi and his tafsīr book Aḍwāʾ al-Bayān. All are encouraged to join at quranicprogression.org. Finally, our next Logical Progression lesson will be an LP roadshow in Finchley, at the Islamic Association of North London. - having used most of my holidays already this year, I don't have as much time in 2023 for extra events or seminars, but I am hoping that the Fiqh of Death might get taught online towards the end of 2023 so keep an eye on that. Actually, what I'm focusing on more this year is developing the Taddabur/ART sessions that can be incorporated into the 3 Sacred Cities and Aqsa programs, because that's where I saw the biggest impact and focus from the attendees. - The LP revision sessions covering Chapter 22, lessons 1-30 which are excellent to catch up on the whole year's session in just a few hours, all start soon. Assalamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu everybody 🤗 Man, it's been a minute as Gen Z would say! I've spent enough time cussin' those folks, it's time I show them a bit of love. 😇 Hope you're all doing well this Summer break iA. Some of us are still getting over the spiritual highs and physical lows lol of this year's Hajj. Man, it was on FIRE this year, and in more ways than one. But more on that in a sec. So it's time to do our usual digest style post so have a good read (it's much easier for you to be on our Telegram Broadcast Channel or Chat), and fit yourselves in somewhere to keep that ball rolling! - in the immediate sense, tonight (Sunday 30th July) we'll be joined in the new Cheadle Masjid (yes, for those not on Telegram, the new build is complete alhamdulillah) by our favourite and beloved Sh 'Abdul Rashid al-Shaykh 'Ali Sufi as he leads us in Maghrib and 'Isha and also hopefully gives one of his beautiful reminders as well. In between the two prayers, I'll also share a few thoughts on how Hajj 2023 turned out under the new system, and explain the process for next year's Hajj which will be useful knowledge to share for those you know who will be going. Then I'll lead one more program suited for families on December 21st-31st iA, open for everyone of course but this will also have a London based flight option, and be organised by Dome Tours. That will be out in the next few weeks, but yeah those are the two full programs I'll be doing and if you know someone who needs the full monty then this is where you guide them to. I'll also be doing a lighter more chill trip in Thanksgiving which is more American focused, but all welcome to that one too!
