Nonsense-Mediated Decay

I Sit by the Window A scene from the same communal apartment turned into hotel in SPb in 2021. The first watercolor depicts the arrival, and the new piece is the last hour before the train back. Once I got the Light and shade set Unison pastels back in 2022, I felt that I wanted to try it on this scene. Now the time has come, however I did use a few additional colors. Above the Netherworld II: Ho Chi Minh 2025 Ho Chi Minh Square in Moscow in Summer 2021. After I finished the 'gates of hell', I went through old pictures I took for reference and found two, one from Moscow and one from Berlin, that would further develop the topic of the netherworlds. As this was planned as part of a series, I had to stick to the palette I chose for the first one, and trust me, fiery sunsets are tough without pyrrole orange. The final palette was: PY227, PV19 (red), PBr25, PB60, PR236, and PBk23. #Watercolor, 26x36 cm.
