History of BIC pens (and writing pens overall)
Gonna buy few of them after watching this 😉
How gyroscope guides a rocket
Great video about awesome piece of #engineering inside a rocket. And a great demonstration of gyroscope properties.
...after watching this video, I immediately ordered a gyro toy...
I had injected a bug recently. Can't stop laughing at myself. I'm so stupid :D
Thankfully, it didn't reach a production stage.

KiCad 5.1.4 Release
The KiCad project is proud to announce the latest series 5 stable release of KiCad. The 5.1.4 stable version contains critical bug fixes and other minor improvements since the 5.1.2 and 5.1.3 releases. It also includes improved footprint, symbol, and 3D model libraries, translations, and documentation. A list of all of the fixed bugs since the 5.1.2 and 5.1.3 releases can be found on the KiCad 5.1.3 milestone page and the KiCad 5.
Hand-crafted technologies that brought us to the Moon
In our modern era it is almost impossible to imagine how NASA scientists and engineers built their rockets with such a low-tech things.
The memory storage, used for keeping mission program was made of ferrite beads and they (literally!) were woven together by hand. Modern electronic spreadsheet that nowdays is a common thing, back then was implemented as a group of trained people, constantly analyzing octal numbers and doing math on a paper.
But those ancient (by our means) torments kickstarted computer engineering technologies as we know them today.
Wondering what thing should bite me to obtain FPGA superpowers. 500-pin BGA chip stuffed with nails?
Enjoy your tea!
Being just a coaster is an ultimate fate of every failed PCB, untill you'll throw them away. Those coasters, sitting under a drink of your choice, will remind you to think twice before starting designing a new project.
This time on the stage: stm32f103 with OLED display board and whatever-I-tried-to-put-there. Was fun to play around with that PCB, but I don't want to rework it or use it.
Special guest: a teapot, full of hot and delicious green tea.

Are your balls inflated with hexafluoride gas? Does hexafluoride makes them bounce better? Shame aside, I'm asking about tennis balls!
Turns out that there is an urban legend, saying that tennis balls contain sulfur hexafluoride for better performance. The new video from Applied Science trying to dispel the myth and teach you about cool properties of real-world gases.
It is amazing how profesionally that video was made. A true model of engineering channels. Make sure to subscribe!

Behold the beginning of a new robot era!
They gonna take over your jobs, rape your wives and frighten your children. You better run when THIS will knok into your doors.
