Poul Thorsen, an Autism researcher whose work was used to reassure millions of parents that vaccines do not cause autism, was extradited from Germany to face federal charges back in May is now expected to plead guilty to fraud on September 1st 💥 Thorsen worked on major studies examining vaccines and autism that were cited by the CDC and became part of the scientific foundation used to dismiss concerns about a possible connection. He was later accused by federal prosecutors of stealing more than $1 million in CDC grant money intended for research, using fabricated documents and fraudulent invoices to divert the funds for his own use.

A C-17 Globemaster III is a strategic military cargo aircraft. It carries 170,000 pounds. It moves tanks, helicopters, armored vehicles. It's 174 feet long. It's impossible to miss on Flightradar24 and it wasn't missed. You don't take a C-17 to carry one man to a conversation. So either he's bringing something, or he's bringing something back. The CBS article noted that the CIA has played a role in recent U.S.-Russia detainee exchanges, including the April 2025 release of Ksenia Karelina, whose case Ratcliffe personally negotiated. The 2024 Gershkovich/Whelan exchange used military transport. Prisoner swaps require cargo planes you're moving people, security teams, medical personnel, equipment. And there's the other possibility. A C-17 can be configured as a flying SCIF secure communications in hostile airspace. It carries its own ground power, doesn't depend on Russian airport infrastructure. It's self-contained.
