NotNiantic Updates

🎉 Back by popular demand: Not Niantic infographics! The Cygnus Anomaly Season starts October 1. There are no traditional XM Anomalies this time, but there are plenty of ways to earn Cygnus Tokens and unlock new medals, including the Cygnus Global Battles campaign in October and onsite Shard Storm events. As in recent seasons, you can also earn tokens from Daily Bounties and Ingress First Saturday events. Full details: Season Overview: https://ingress.com/news/2026-cygnus Cygnus Global Battles: https://ingress.com/en/news/2026-cygnus-globalbattles

Sorry for the lack of graphic for the +Gamma Global Op.. Work and family stuff have been keeping me very busy since the event was announced. I did, however, manage to find about half an hour to play and that was enough for silver. So if you have a portal rich area controlled by the opposition, just go there and destroy, deploy, and link. It's probably a better use of your time than trying to figure out how to max out points. https://ingress.com/news/2026-plusgamma-globalop

The +Gamma Season is underway, and Niantic Spatial has now revealed the design of one of the three medals that can be earned this quarter. Expect this graphic to be updated as more is revealed. See https://ingress.com/news/2026-plusgamma for official info

Working on multiple Ingress challenges at once? I built a NotNiantic Challenge Overlap Helper that tells you: ✔ what you still need ✔ where campaigns overlap ✔ how many actions remain ✔ and which tasks you’ve already crushed Basically: fewer wasted actions, more efficient XM usage. Use it here → https://notnianticlabs.com/event_overlap

The Redux campaigns just started, but there's also a brand new campaign right around the corner. Winter Solstice 2025 brings you a free opportunity to earn a new 2-tiered badge and event bonuses including more AP for capturing portals and shortened drone cooldown. See the infographic for more, or view full details at https://ingress.com/news/2025-wintersolstice

Which past challenges will you replay? Redux 2025 gives you the opportunity to earn missing challenge badges or add wings if you already earned silver. Here's all you need to know in a single infographic, or head over to https://ingress.com/news/2025-globalopredux for the official explanation. Updated 9 Dec to include corrected Erased Memories task 7

EDIT: Niantic has substitute redux challenges for most of these. New infographic coming with the relevant details but in the mean time enjoy the trip down memory lane. Ready to replay some old challenges for a chance at wings? See details at https://ingress.com/news/2025-globalopredux Forgot what those challenges were? Me too. But here are links to the old posts with infographics: Cryptic Memories: https://t.me/NotNianticUpdates/131 Buried Memories: https://t.me/NotNianticUpdates/142 Shared Memories: https://t.me/NotNianticUpdates/156 Erased Memories: https://t.me/NotNianticUpdates/177 +Alpha: no infographic but it was based around deploying and destroying mods

Are you wondering if you still have a chance to unlock that next tier of the +Beta anomaly medal? Here's an updated event calculator to answer that question. Input how many tokens you have so far, and tell it how many beacons you expect to interact with during the Buildup Battles, what category you expect to earn on average, and whether you anticipate being able to interact with a shard or two, and it will tell you how close you can get with the remaining daily bounty tokens available: https://notnianticlabs.com/event_token_calculator/

Thanks to the incredible investigative work of @ItzWindyyy, we were able to put together this infographic showing all of the tasks for the Erased Memories Global Campaign. Complete assignment 4 to earn the base badge, assignment 9 to earn the advance badge, and keep going if you dare.
