Puppy thoughts 4: Long distance can fucking suck sometimes. Especially in the furry/pup community. You see people cuddling their partners, making content together, traveling, going to events, waking up beside each other… and sometimes you catch yourself thinking: “Why don’t I have that?” “When am I gonna find my person?” “How does everyone make this look so easy?” I’ve been there. Hell, sometimes I still am. But one thing I’ve learned the hard way is that someone else isn’t supposed to complete you. For a long time, I thought finding a partner would fix the parts of myself I struggled with. It didn’t. I had to learn who the fuck I was, what I wanted, and what kind of person I wanted to become. A partner should add to your life, not be responsible for creating it. So if you’re lonely right now, don’t let that convince you that you’re incomplete. Love yourself. Build the life you want. Make memories. Meet people. Be weird. Be soft. Be unapologetically you And when someone eventually comes along, let them add to the life you already built. Because you deserve someone who chooses you, but you also deserve to become someone you’re proud to choose first.

I think this is getting pretty damn close to the final version, and honestly, I’m really happy with how he’s coming together! I’m still working through the colors and body shape. I’ve made a few different variations of Bramble where he’s a little slimmer with a more muscular build, but I’m really enjoying my dad-bod appreciation era. 😂 I feel like it’s something I can gradually show off alongside my of eventually becoming a full-on himbo pup lol. I’d also love to hear y’all’s opinions! What are some of your favorite shading styles from other artists? I’m curious about different ways people approach lighting, shadows, and rendering because I’d love to learn from them and experiment with some new techniques in future Bramble renditions. ((Also what shading styles or artists inspire you the most?))
