[ANNOUNCEMENT] Dear volunteers! We are launching a new activity system within the NU Volunteers Club. Its main goal is to make participation in the life of the club more transparent, motivating, and fair. From now on, every volunteer will be able to earn points for their activity. The more you participate in volunteer projects, help at events, take responsibility, and support the team, the more points you will receive. These points will give you access to additional opportunities, such as volunteering at major events including Graduation and Orientation Week, concerts, business conferences, closed projects, as well as invitations to the club’s own internal events, such as the Ice Party with MSH and the Volunteers Appreciation Party. Why are we introducing this system? We want every active volunteer to have the opportunity to grow within the club. Very often, the number of spots at major and interesting events is limited. That is why it is important for us that the selection process is not random, but clear and fair. The points system will help us take into account each volunteer’s contribution: not only participation in one big event, but also regular help, responsibility, punctuality, and involvement. How can you earn points? Participation in volunteer events Example: 1 volunteering activity = 1 point * In the future, we will consider increasing the number of points depending on the difficulty of the volunteering activity. How do the points work? Those who have a high number of points will be included in the list of Active Volunteers, who will have exclusive rights: 1) Volunteering at major events 2) Invitations to internal club events 3) The opportunity to receive a more responsible role 4) Recommendation letters and confirmation of activity 5) An easier opportunity to join the Volunteers Club How will the points be tracked? After each event, the responsible coordinators will record the volunteers’ participation: the number of hours, the role performed, and the quality of work. We will strive to make the system as transparent as possible: every volunteer will be able to understand why they received points and how they can increase their activity. Important rules: Points are awarded only for confirmed participation. Points cannot be transferred to other people. Points are not money and cannot be exchanged for money. Points are needed for the club’s internal system of motivation, selection, and recognition of volunteer activity. Violation of discipline, absence without prior notice, or failure to fulfill responsibilities may affect the awarding of points. The main idea of the system We want to create a culture where the activity, responsibility, and contribution of every volunteer are noticed. This system is not about competition for the sake of competition. It is about fairness, growth, and new opportunities. Every volunteer will be able to influence their own path within the club: the more you participate, the more you grow, and the more opportunities you receive. The Volunteers Club is not just about participating in events. It is about a team, experience, connections, development, and the opportunity to be part of something bigger.
