In the course of writing and investigating this, Wake Up Singapore was threatened with lawsuits twice. On 5 June 2024, IDF photographer Menacham Mendel Geisinsky published a photo featuring a female IDF 'Lone Soldier' and a Singapore Flag. The post asserted that the IDF soldier was from Singapore. If the woman was truly a Singaporean, a criminal offence may be disclosed. If she was not a Singaporean, it is arguably a misuse of the Singapore Flag as it is misleading.
