Happy and Prosperous Morning 🌺 If we will consider DSY students, they are not familiar with subject like programming. For them, it is better to have actually C++ where OOPs concepts will be understood by them. Earlier C++ was there for Mechanical engineering students in SY. But few stalwarts changed syllabus and they removed C++ for mechanical engineering students. If you ask priority, then Java should be first priority where students will learn Oops concept and in semester 2 they can learn python. Python is Procedure as well as Object Oriented Programming Language. Before learning python students should have opps concepts. This is my sincere opinion. Actually sequence should be: 1. C 2. C++ 3. Java 4. Python This👆is sufficient for Application Development to Mechanical Engineering Students to make entry in Software or IT company. For Electrical engineering students, they are learning C++ in their second year. For ENTC students, they are learning Data structures. For Civil engineering students, they learn Computer Programming and Numerical Methods. In general for all Engineering Students: 1. Application Development : Skill set - C , C++ , Java , Python 2. Web Development & Programming : HTML , CSS3 , JavaScript , PHP 3. Database Design & Programming : Database Programming Fundamentals , MySQL , ORACLE , MS SQL Server.
