Whilst salah is clearly not prayer, one cannot get away from the idea that believers are described in the Quran to be the ones who humble themselves and pay homage to Allah and His Ayaat by kneeling down and lowering themselves in a way that Iblis refused to.

Dawood asked forgiveness from His Lord, and FELL DOWN, kneeling and he repented. [38:24] Their mark is on their faces from the effect of sujood (paying homage). [48:29] Surah 77 47. Woe on that Day to the deniers. 48. And when it is said to them, “kneel down,” they do not kneel down. 49. Woe on that Day to the deniers. ------------- Keep the sujood and the ruku', keep the kneeling and paying homage to Allah, lowering ourselves which is the opposite to Iblis who refused to. Keep everything until convinced otherwise. Main thing is to avoid shirk.

Sam Gerrans was right when he said the Salaah is very close to the Deen. Replace the words "religion" and "pray" with "Deen" (contract) and "Salaah" (duty/service). This surah is showing us key attributes of the correct and the incorrect.

I have heard Sam Gerrans say that Salah is "duty". At first, I thought this was not quite right, because I think the word "birr" that is closely connected to "barri" (land) might be closer to meaning "duty" - as in "our duty upon the land"... but regardless of the exact meaning, I am beginning to see why he said what he said. "Duty" makes way more sense than "prayer". It is not our prayer that purifies us. Prayer is a necessary component. But it is our duty (salaah) that purifies (zakaah) us. This book is defending us from Satan's soldiers who have most of you in their grip without you having a single clue. The so called 'End Game Islam' group which has a large following on social media and YouTube is busy as usual trying to destroy Islam while pretending to be Muslims. This time these liars seem to be promoting Buddhism. Their group spends most of it's time posting materials rejecting Hadiths, yet they post material from the Bible and other non-Muslim sources to support their false views. Not only are they Hadith Rejectors, they are also Flat Earthers, Imran Hosien Worshippers and Perenalists trying to unite all religions into one new religion. Maybe Allah punishes them more for their unbelief and arrogance by making them go deeper and deeper down the wrong path. May Allah guide them.
