In Egypt, the main types of power plants and their contributions to the overall electricity demand are as follows: 1. Natural Gas Power Plants: The majority of Egypt's electricity is generated from natural gas. This includes both conventional steam turbines and combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plants. Together, they account for about 75-85% of the electricity generation capacity. 2. Hydropower Plants: These include the Aswan High Dam and other smaller dams on the Nile River. Hydropower contributes approximately 7-10% of the total electricity generation. 3. Solar Power Plants: Egypt has been expanding its solar energy capacity with major projects like the Benban Solar Park. Solar power currently contributes around 3-4% of the total electricity generation. 4. Wind Farms: Located primarily in the Gulf of Suez and other favorable areas, wind energy contributes around 1-2% of the total electricity generation. 5. Oil-Fired Power Plants: These are used less frequently but still contribute around 5-10% of the total electricity generation. 6. Coal-Fired Power Plants: There is limited use of coal for electricity generation in Egypt, contributing a very small fraction to the overall mix. Egypt is actively working to diversify its energy mix and increase the share of renewables, aiming for more sustainable and environmentally friendly sources of energy.

"Curiosity killed the cat" is a proverb used to warn of the dangers of unnecessary investigation or experimentation. It also implies that being curious can sometimes lead to danger or misfortune. The original form of the proverb, now rarely used, was "Care killed the cat".

What is the story behind Curiosity Killed the Cat? No one knows definitively where the term “curiosity killed the cat” originated. The first reference comes from a comedic play. In 1598, English playwright Ben Johnson used the term “care'll kill a cat” in Every Man in his Humour. The word “care” in Johnson's time would be defined as “nosiness” today.
